    The biggest take away in these conversations that can be applied in any relationship is complete and open honesty. Being honest with yourself and your partner with what you need! That’s amazing and so underrated. People are just not honest. If people said hey this is what I want, there would be so much less heartbreak!!!

    Anytime Joey's in an interview/ video, I'm clicking it. He's highly intuitive. When dating, it's important to be upfront about your wants/needs. I believe a ton of people share the same views, but society restricts us from being able to think that way or express what we want when it's outside of the "norm."

    Jidenna 🥺 I absolutely adore and respect this man's mind. His open-minded, maturity, accountability is what I desire in a soul mate. Polygamy has always been interesting to me since I was in my teens watching Big Love. This really resonated. I totally agree with Jidenna that Polyamory is a noble pursuit - it can expand your consciousness and way of being profoundly... ALSO... In my experience, the ecstasy of loving many is as great as the pain. You can and often will end up with all parties having broken hearts. I still think it is a beautiful philosophy - FREE LOVE. Freedom to be who you are. Unlimited love... But it is not easy.

    Our society is open to just about anything at this point and time. I'll be the first to say it -- this generation is all about vices, ease, individualism, and pleasure, and not much more than that. It's kinda sad the future we're setting up for the next generations.

    • @PenelopeSnowe
      @PenelopeSnowe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You shoulda seen basically any decade or generation before us lol. Everyone wants to forget the Roman bath houses, the Wild West, opium wars, the roaring 20s, prohibition, mad men era debauchery, the swinging sixties, the free love movement, hyper capitalism in the 80s… it’s convenient for us to blame each new generation for their expressions of self interest, because we think said blame protects our own interests. But it doesn’t. It just reminds us to police one another so that more powerful people don’t have to waste their time policing us.

      I agree with you but I also accept what was said in the dialogue.this was a very much needed dialogue. I appreciate this dialogue because it helps me understand what an ethical slut is. Someone told me that's what they were and I didn't even know that was a real thing lmfao 😂 I think it's better to say this is what happens when people become narcissistic...they usually have an anxious/insecure/ avoidant attachment upbringing.
      Love claustrophobic?! Lol what's wild to me is we come in the world crying, with needs to be held, loved, by one person, our mother. Most of us take time to accept the love from someone that isn't the caretaker or shoot new people we meet as a child. My nephew was very avoidant with me when I tried to give him love even though we saw each other everyday. He was like glue to my mom. Of course It all depends on the family dynamic and how intimate the family is you know.
      I just think it's strange how many people don't care about wanting to create their own tight knitted family. I think these conversations are just a glimpse of a surface level of greater issues we people of color have in dating. This is the modern way of coping with trauma. Avoiding intimacy and commitment. it's scientifically proven that's it's the long term committments that make people happy, a new degree, a child, the last car payment, the 20 years anniversary. It's so sad that there's no urgency to build a legacy. Hearing more snd more people talk like this makes me think people never had good loving home or sense of tribe. And is true since we have been at the high rate single motherhood. I truly think God made women to be picky for reason. More than the fact that she's worried about her genetic offspring. Imagine, if women did not have birth control nor know about the pullout method, would they still think as liberally as they do about sex. If they did it would be to their own detriment. It's great women have liberation and I appreciate the women's sexual education that came from all of this. But this fluidity and cultural correctiveness is getting on my nerves. Overall my point is to much liberation without grounding will have a child running wild and wanting to try everything. And child without self control in liberal world in the wild is dangerous, its just dangerous if they have nothing to ground them,Principles, sound morals, and longer term goals. sometimes you can't have both cakes you gotta choose one. Life can't always be I can be king you gotta earn that status. Only a select few can do that. People need a reality check. I hope this abortion law will help people see that and maybe make their think more responsibly about casual sex. Even feminist in their 40 and 50s are starting to express their decisions in dating, being controlled but media.did you really think you're physically built to have sex forever. Maybe God made menopause for a reason lol.
      Everyone wants to maximize options but there's a lot of happiness in sticking to goals, having set needs in place. Too many options is the reason why people never pick the right partner for life. My man loves to says "We got a culture full of broken people trying complete each other ". The women and high value men are all trying to maximize their options. Another of his favorite things to say is " a Select few of men are having sex (most men are lying about their sexual lifestyle) while meanwhile women are all having sex with the same men. The truth is the thing they need is right in front of them. They just keep avoiding intimacy, changing their options, avoiding the healing so they never become satisfied. The gag is they spent so much time collecting other foreign energies for sexual pleasure. They can't figure out where the happiness is because it's someone else's energy they collected in the avoidant healing phrase. Aural energy is real. Idc what anyone says lol.
      As for the young lady in this video who is like most women, I want to point something out ...One the biggest reoccuring issues men complain about women is women that don't know what they want. In my online dating phase I came across so many profiles of men saying "I wanna date someone who knows what they want lol". How you call yourself a woman when you don't know what you want?! Thats childlike lol. Its frustrating to date someone whos constantly changing their mind about the most important things in life that'll affect their furture. No wonder why this red pill shit is thriving. Men have been done with the games and Women are going to continue to have sex with men they never would even want a kid by but then end up birthing accidentally . I guess that's part of being young but when you look at it statistically how many babies are planned? Point is ladies, it's ok if you dont know if you want cheesecake factory or Thai food. But if youre constsntly changing your desires or expecting unrealistic expectations you're always going to be never satisfied.
      And, JL don't worry. It's people like this they don't probably have the qualities for motherhood nor fatherhood. They don't know what sacfrice is, they think in terms of hedonism. They're selfish.
      *Side note, Teyana is rare. she's has what seems a lovely family and a healthy, transparent and beautiful relationship. The threesomes put me off ease but at least for once it's woman expressing (I forgot the word). My only concern is women get easily manipulated into the open relationships. And Jidenns shows men can too. I just hope that people that are preaching about how much they love these relationships that at least their SO is happy about their personal engagement because resentment will eventually follow.
      * Side note I think teyana is amazing mother and lover, their fam is so cute.I use to aspire her relationship until I found out about the threesome. I Appreciate the insight I just get annoyed when a lover cohoerces their lover into doing something they aren't comfortable with knowing it's against their morals. That's just sick.ig was refreshed to hear that wasn't the case (and I could be completely wrong).

    I’m only 5mins in and I’m amening already, I agree and love everything they’ve said thus far especially being poly myself, having brought this lifestyle to my partners attention etc. People always think a woman is living this lifestyle for the man when in reality she is the one who introduced it and is down with it. On top Jidenna saying jealousy happens.

    This was an effective conversation. I agree that most people are already in pseudo - polyamorous relationships. (The spouse that has a revolving door of cheating, blended families, fwb etc) they’re just different names wrapped in another package, but it’s the same gift.
    It’s funny how people are so concerned about the health risks, but these same people didn’t ask these questions with their *past and current* partners.
    *love yourself enough to let go* from when I was young - I never understood why people were so fixated on controlling someone else. Control yourself and that’s it!

      Yes!!! And yes!!!
      I don't know how many times I say this!!!
      We are naturally attracted to others, so I always wondered why people tend to lie to their partners and end up cheating.

    • @indigoGoddess7
      @indigoGoddess7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fedoramcclaren4294 🎯🎯🎯🎯I will also add, but I’ll speak for myself because I don’t know if you’ll agree and I don’t like speaking for other people…
      When people get upset that their spouse is attracted to someone else…😒it’s so unrealistic to think that ONE person will NEVER look at another person and find them attractive. Or even saying that someone is beautiful and or handsome. There’s nothing wrong with looking!
      That’s like saying you’ve had 1 outfit your WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE! We’re allowed to look, we’re allowed to and we’re supposed to change.

    • @fedoramcclaren4294
      @fedoramcclaren4294 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@indigoGoddess7 I can't say I disagree with your statement!!!
      Looking and acting upon are two different things, and honestly, I appreciate when people are honest with their partners.
      Polyamorous relationships tend to be more honest based on this (in this aspect, I am not speaking on general, honest monogamous unions)...

    Yall making polygamy too damn complicated... there's 4 major subcategories of polygamy:
    1. Polygyny (1 husband, 2+ Wives who are exclusive to the husband)
    2. Polyandry (1 Wife, 2+ Husband who are exclusive to wife).
    3. Polyamory (Multiple People in a relationship with multiple people)
    4. Triad (3 people in an exclusive relationship with each other). ♻️
    Every other term Is simply a bunch of new world confusion... with no life-long marriage goal in sight
    Monogamous Open Relationships are couples who are 99% exclusive... that 1% is simply having permission to be sexually free as a TREAT.
    This new paradigm we're living in is just adding a bunch of new terms that doesn't cater to MARRAIGE & FAMILY BUILDING.
