You know...I hate to be a naysayer on such a momentous occasion, but I can't help myself here. I've been slow to realize that Vin is like that guy who is the last person on earth you want leading you into new experiences. I get that the song "rocks", but dear god...Here is this absolutely gut-wrenching, devastating song to hear for the first time. Sori is there just trying to soak it all in, and here is this guy sitting beside her that is so caught up in his own experience (of a song I'm sure he's heard thousands of times), that he can't even understand that his air-guitar wailing, back-and-forth thrashing, and general physical obnoxiousness could possibly be taking away from her own experience (which, again, is HER FIRST experience of this song in its entirety). I mean, don't get me wrong, the musical composition here is incredible. It kicks ass. And if you've heard the song a thousand times, I don't think you have to sit there like a stone, ponderously, every time you hear it again. But where is the consideration for bringing someone into a new experience - especially your partner? Imagine watching a movie for the first time with someone and they keep talking to you or flashing a light in your eyes over all the important dialogue. That experience seems about as fun as this one. Look, I really enjoy this channel. I started following when it was just in its infancy. I still intend to watch and support it as long as I can. One of the most engrossing music videos I’ve ever seen, still, to this day. It is worth a watch. Not just that little segment you looked at. I can’t hear the song alone without my mind putting back everything the guy in the video says. When this came out I was about 17. It grabbed me then, but now as a 46 year old with my own kid, it shakes me. “For democracy, any man would give his only begotten son.” “Mother? Help me mother I’m having a nightmare and I can’t wake up!!!” I have a hard time consoling my own kid when she has a nightmare. Brought me a whole new perspective, as having kids does to most of us. Anyway, congrats on your 100k! It is well earned. I’m happy to have been a part of it since the first 500 subscribers or so.
Congratulations for those 100K subscribers. I certainly desire both of you take the time to read the comments and have the wisdom to adjust whatever it needs to be adjusted in order to keep growing.

There were so many ways I wanted to open this comment with about the video...as I have browsed through the many comments, it was kind of surprising to see there were some opposition to Vin's antics through this video, which I think its been discovered what he has as one of his core favorites...but anyways I am opening; well continuing this comment by stating that no truer statement about war was spoken than the one on 21:48!!! Congratulations on 100K! You guys absolutely deserve it. I've been sub'd since about 3K (in your first couple months I guess), and I just want you guys to know how much you mean to me. At first it was just cool to hear such in-depth analyses of religion and philosophy in music. I love the long discussions the songs inspire, and all the knowledge I've gained from them. But I've gotten so much more than that over the past nearly a year. Because of this channel I've grown as a Christian, as a young man, and as possibly a future husband/father. While I certainly don't agree with you on all issues of theology and politics, I agree with a lot; and with what we don't agree on, you give me reason to think deeper about, and re-evaluate, what I believe. One is based on a Book and later a movie called "Johnny got is gun" synopsis from the wikipedia; " Joe Bonham (Bottoms), a young American soldier hit by an artillery shell during World War I, lies in a hospital bed. He is a quadruple amputee who has also lost his eyes, ears, mouth and nose. He remains conscious and able to reason, but his wounds render him a prisoner in his own body. As he drifts between reality and fantasy, he remembers his old life with his family and girlfriend (Kathy Fields). He also forms a bond, of sorts, with a young nurse (Diane Varsi) who senses his plight. Eventually, Joe tries to communicate to his doctors, via Morse code by tapping his head, saying "help." He wishes for the US Army to put him in a glass coffin in a freak show as a demonstration of the horrors of war. When told that his wish may be impossible to grant, he responds begging to be euthanized, repeatedly saying "kill me." He ultimately realizes that the Army can grant neither wish, and will leave him in a state of living death. His sympathetic nurse attempts to euthanize him by clamping his breathing tube, but her supervisor stops her before Joe can succumb. Joe realizes that he will never be released from his state of entrapment and he is left alone, weakly chanting, "S.O.S. Help me."
Awesome song! I remember watching one of your first videos and it's really cool to see how you have grown and although I've never met you, Becky and I feel as if you are friends. After my first stroke, I was paralyzed on my right side. I had just begun Coumadin therapy and I was laying in bed watching TV and the news came on of Ariel Sharon's stroke and I was terrified that the coumadin was going to kill me. The drs came and explained that it was a risk, they handed me the DNR paperwork and I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to be kept alive if there was no hope but I didn't want to sign and then be left to die if there was hope for recovery. Shout out to Becky, she really did save my life.

Thanks for not doing the video version, everyone gets caught up on the visuals. Came on when I was in the MC D's drive thru today, must have thought I was going off. It's my wifes favorite Metallica song.
The black album was my introduction to Metallica. After that I have checked out the other stuff. One stood out, and the And Justice for all record too. Its my favourite record from Metallica. With that album they have shown that they are really pro technically, artisticly and concerning creativity. There is at least one better song in my opinion: Dyers eve. You should review that, its my all time favourite from Metallica.
MEDVE1978 when I first read your post earlier today, I laughed. I totally disagree with you on the 2 best Metallica albums, but that’s not why I laughed. I understand where you are coming from. However, when I read your post, I said to myself, “I wonder how long it will be before one of the elitist, idiot pricks responds to shit on MEDVE1978s parade?” Looks like it was posted only a few minutes after I left this video. Not surprised.
@@biohazard_613 Well its really "trendy" to hate the Black Album or Load and reload. I don't really think it was "bad" to Metallica that they have made the Black Album and that they have not gone pop with it. Yes it"s more acceptable to the masses, more radio friendly with Nothing else matters and Enter Sandman (which the majority of the listeners do not know is about SIDS). I even consider Load and Reload as good hard rock (not metal) albums. I have never understood this "elitist" thinking with most of the bands. Metallica is a band that was able to develop itself and sustain a high level of proficiency, so I don"t think any of their stuff is totally crap (even St.Anger has its moments). So in my opinion they haven't sold out with the Black Album. Back to the times I was a GNR and Queen loving kid, not even much into metal than. Its no wonder, one of my friends gave me the Black Album and not directly Ride the lightning which has a much more rare heavy metal sound.
MEDVE1978 I never understood the problem people had with the Black album. Metallica is constantly evolving and I’m glad for that. I love bands that haven’t evolved much too, such as AC/DC and Slayer but love the variety of Metallica even more. The hatred for Load and Reload drives me crazy too but I understand it on one level. I used to read all the metal and hard rock magazines, even after their popularity declined and everyone moved to the internet. The people that relied on the internet didn’t get to see the interviews from before those 2 albums came out where James informed everyone that they were not going to be normal Metallica albums. He let people know that while the songs were original, they were doing them to really show their influences without resorting to more cover songs. Knowing that information in advance, I loved them and respected them for what they were, not what I wanted them to do. As for St. Anger, it has more than just its moments. In its original form, I had a hard time listening to it due to the snare drum sound, I absolutely HATE that sound. I listened to that album maybe 3 times in the first 4 years that I had it. My best friend is a huge Metallica fan too and also hated the sound but he did something about it. He’s a record producer and recording engineer. I don’t know how he did it but he messed around with it for about 2 years in his spare time and replaced the snare sound with a normal snare sound. He burned a copy for me and told me to listen and now I love that album. I still can’t listen to the original version though. Loved DM & HWTSD, especially HWTSD. I’m really looking forward to where they’ll go from here.

Congrats on 100k guys!! The book this song is based off of is called "Johnny got his gun" and it is well worth a read
Congratulations for those 100K subscribers. I certainly desire both of you take the time to read the comments and have the wisdom to adjust whatever it needs to be adjusted in order to keep growing.
The cringe is real
!!!!
Korny
@Music Fan276 Vin doing air guitar is cringy IMHO
everyone loves a guy who calls other people's fun cringy. you must be the life of the party
@Music Fan276 he means that Vin was cringey

Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium) live Seattle 1989
Yes, either lyric version or 89' Seattle live
Both are awesome but the Seattle version is just sooooooo good ! His vocals and everything really makes an already awesome song just magical ! 🤘
@@robinhansen292 and all the camera angles and production make it look even more badass
Agreed!
Yes. If you can't have Cliff you must have Jason.
Congratulations! 👏
Glad to be part of the 100k. Been here since your "Queen - Somebody to love" video and (In Shaa Allah) will keep supporting.
*really hope you guys will notice and consider to my recommendations in the future.☺

Love it Vin! I was feeling it too!

Its called enjoying the song
@Johnny Nonuts no its called rocking out to a song he enjoys you wouldnt know obviously
Johnny Nonuts
Wow. That’s harsh. Calling someone a fucking idiot just because they disagree with someone else. Grow up.
@@utke22 it’s called ruining the video
Congratulations on 100k!!! I am only surprised it took so long. Good choice for the 100k song. Keep up the good work Vin and Sori.
LOL "this is a big moment for ME"
Yeah I heard that too
Yooooo!!!! I jammed out so hard watching this!! We nailed every note on our air guitars Vin! 😂🤘Love you guys, congrats on the 100K!
Wow finally ! lol
Hey since you guys are huge Korn fans. Please do Korn's cover of one, live at the Metallica tribute show.
LET THE MAN ENJOY THE FUCKING SONG!
Funny, how Vin is out of breath for minutes after the song had suddendly stopped...?
Tom Mitchell out of shape
I'm just glad to say that this is one of the songs I know by heart plus congrats on a hundred thousand Subs
Windir - Journey to the end
Anathema - Internal Landscapes
Vin, your enthusiasm during this took me back to being a kid in high school trying to learn this song on guitar. I would thrash around my room like a total dork to their music.
Congrats for the 100k!! You deserve it.
Congrats on 100k! This was my first Metallica song. It's also the reason I fell in love with music.
The baby they're having inside her will now already have been introduced to Metallica before it was born lol. Pretty sure she thought she felt some kicks while listening to it, but most likely it was head banging.
Angel One all cool babies are. 😎
I'm crying! I remember coming in on the first fireside. to harass you... but instead was touched by the both of you and left that fireside with two new friends who became a family, who embraced me and provided a community (The Village) where i could make some of my closest friends whom I love immensely.
I remember Culp and I and a few others were the first gifts you guys ever got mailed to you.
funny how stuff happens.
Love you all so much. I am so glad we met.
I'm heartbroken to ask: Could we have a Do-Over, please?
There were so many ways I wanted to open this comment with about the video...as I have browsed through the many comments, it was kind of surprising to see there were some opposition to Vin's antics through this video, which I think its been discovered what he has as one of his core favorites...but anyways I am opening; well continuing this comment by stating that no truer statement about war was spoken than the one on 21:48!!! Great reaction, thank you so much and congrats on 100K!!!!
FINALLY thank you both absolute classic metallica record 😀😀😀
"what is a record?" ~Vin & Sori 😂
@@ChicagoTRS us brits tend to call a tune a record 😂😂
Congrats on 100K!!!!!!!
One of the best music videos ever. Depressing, yes...but extremely POWERFUL. The blending of the film and their song is PERFECTION.
Poor Sori never hearing all these songs until she became a TH-camr
The baby they're having inside her will now already have been introduced to Metallica before it was born lol. Pretty sure she thought she felt some kicks while listening to it, but most likely it was head banging.
@@angelone1839 When I was pregnant with my daughter, her dad and I listened to metal all the time. Cradle of Filth, Megadeth, Ronnie James Dio, Slayer, Gwar (they are a genre all of their own!), Metallica (old Metallica, BEFORE the Black Album), and she is now 5 years old, and she has been listening to and LOVING metal ever since was born! She LOVES Megadeth, and Ronnie James Dio! Parenting WIN!!
@@JenX_1973 When she rebels as a teen, she'll have to blast mumble rap & boy bands. Hahaha.
Where does this girl came from?
Under a rock!!!?????
Damn it!
I've seen MANY of your videos, but this one made me finally sub. Your performance was worthy. I started playing guitar when Justice came out. I feel your excitement \m/
we get it bro, you know the song lol
I can relate. I just lost my Father who lost both legs in Vietnam to a land mine. At the age of 73 he died from his injuries. This stuff is for real & it’s says a lot for the guys & gals that go battle for our freedom. God Bless our military.
I expect to see this on one of those "cringeworthy" compilation videos soon.
If you don't change my mind, you do make my own beliefs more deeply thought out and more well-rounded.
Thank you so much, congratulations on your success (and your expanding family), and God bless!
About God damn time! HELLOWEEN ☆ KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS 🎃 congrats on 100 K! My favorite youtubers 🤘🏻
Congrats guys stoked for you and your accomplishments keep growing!!
Congrats on 100k!!!
The Beatles - Lucy in the sky with diamonds
The Who - Won't get fooled again
Wishbone Ash - Pilgrim
100K! Congrats! So glad to be a part of it. 😁 Awesome Song! What a horror story. Can't see, talk, hear, no legs, no arms...this is why you need a living will so they will turn the machines off and not force you to live in Hell.
Vin always finds a way to ruin exactly the best moments of the song for Sori (and us)
he's like: hey watch me! watch me! Sori watch me!
Congrats on you 100k sub! Metallica have always made introspective first person perspective of different situations for RTL MOP and AJFA. Happy melodies with dark lyrics. A beautiful dichotomy! Kudos !
Speaking of simple riffs that are hard and sits in your head...Symphony of Destruction from Megadeth. Great riff!
Vin, you’re a pain the arse, and you frustrate the hell out of me, but I can’t help but keep coming back (and commenting 😉). Congrats you guys, you’ve earned it!
I'm with Sori, Korn's cover of One is terrible.
it was awful, lol
Congrats on 100k! Vin was right, this is the perfect song to celebrate with.
Vin can't help try to but distract Sori in Metallica reactions. Put him in the other room for these specific reactions thankyou lol
Epic song. I was wondering why you guys haven’t done it. Congrats on 100k
Vin your air drumming is terrible.
It's no worse than Lars' real drumming........
howlingmine Lars is being manipulated via marionette strings at this point. He’s like Animal from The Muppet Show but with less groove.
@Tony Glock Lars has said in an interview he doesn't like practicing by himself. Probably the only time he touches the instrument these days is on tour or in studio. The degeneration is real.
@@argieStream wow ya it shows; he doesn't practice on his own. I heard at one time James was thinking of firing him. Probably because he noticed the gradual decrease in technicality. Lars hit a wall with And Justice... then went backwards
When told that his wish may be impossible to grant, he responds begging to be euthanized, repeatedly saying "kill me."
He ultimately realizes that the Army can grant neither wish, and will leave him in a state of living death. His sympathetic nurse attempts to euthanize him by clamping his breathing tube, but her supervisor stops her before Joe can succumb. Joe realizes that he will never be released from his state of entrapment and he is left alone, weakly chanting, "S.O.S. Help me."
Wanna hear something equally good? Listen to SEPULTURA - DESPERATE CRY. Back in the day they were GODS of thrash on the level of Big 4.
@@beckyleavitt7808 Love you.
A very serious, heavy song. Vin acting like a clown throughout ruined it.
i mean the song is fun and you can clown to it. especially the end part.
Yes
I'm actually glad you guys reacted to this! Couldn't help but smile when you two started moshing! And of course Vin shredding on his air guitar is always a treat! Had to play along on my bass! Also I cant remember if you did any Powerwolf but I would LOVE to see you guys do Amen and Attack. I think you guys will love it! Especially Vin!
Nice comment haha
This is a celebration video. I don’t mind Vin getting hyped.
fricking masterpiece,Iremember seeing this the first time on mtv and I was so blown away..i taped it and watched it for the whole night!! Couldn't get enough it was so in your face and raw..the lyrics were extremely frightening to think that maybe thousands or more soldiers went through similar situations..Honestly can u think of a more frightening situation to be trown upon you.at any age let alone late teens early 20's its still just as mind blowingto me today!!
you must make a separate reaction to the video for ONE by Metallica
Congrats guys on 100k!!! One is one of my faves. Love ya'll and love the village \m/
Thanks for not doing the video version, everyone gets caught up on the visuals. Came on when I was in the MC D's drive thru today, must have thought I was going off. It's my wifes favorite Metallica song.
Dang vin! You had me feeling it too hard and I heard this song a zillion times
This is the first song i heard from metallica when i smoked my first joint with my bestfriend for the 1st time and it was also my 1st joint eva eva
this is the first time i've ever wanted to murder anyone in the first 9 seconds eva eva
Thank you. Life is tough right now and you made me smile and made my day
Vin, you're obnoxious and rude.
Korn could never play a Metallica song ..well!
Never ever stop in the middle of a Metallica song!
Congrats on 100k 😀
Congratulations on the 100k well deserved.
Hey thats awesome getting 100k! Love you guys! Keep it up!
You should review that, its my all time favourite from Metallica.
...and justice for all was the last Metallica album...black album was poprock...the 4 first were Metallica at its best...
😃
Congrats on 100k!
Another one ruined by Vin over reacting
Congrats on 100k y’all!
