- In an exclusive interview on BBC’s Newsnight, Emily Maitlis interviewed Prince Andrew about his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and the allegations that he had underage sex with one of Epstein’s accusers, Virginia Roberts. The Prince denies such allegations and has no recollection of meeting Ms Roberts. GMB speaks to women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing five of Epstein’s accusers, and she says the royal should volunteer himself to be interviewed by the FBI and US lawyers. In the studio, Lady Colin Campbell, journalist Angela Levin and Dr Hilary Jones discuss the case. Dr Hilary also assesses the claim that the Prince made in the interview that he is unable to sweat.

Lady C obviously comes from the same ‘entitled’ background. My father always told me to be very wary of such people who think they’re above everyone else.
Lady C is incredibly rude and obnoxious! She is too obsessed about being condescending to everyone! She has been around for hundreds of years and she is unbelievably irrelevant and she knows it!
Oh no...she was NOT from money or upper class. She married a man that made her "Lady Crazy" but they divorced soon after. She refused to give up the title after.

The Purple / Pink lady appears frequently in discussions like this related to the Royal Family. She is there to defend / explain the Royals and because of that, never criticizes anything they do or say. Consequently, she is entirely lacking in objectivity. In this segment, she ries to support Andrew's ridiculous assertion that he went to see Epstein because he was " too honorable" not to end it in person. This has nothing to do with "honor" and everything to do with "stupidity"! The entire interview showed how completely tone-deaf he is - he actually said he still doesn't regret forming this relationship with Epstein or staying with him when he knew. Listening to the Purple lady try to put "lipstick on a pig" is really shameful. I actually support the Royal family - most notably, the late Queen, the Cambridges, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Sophie - but this guy is a hot mess.

@ALightOn she was actually born with a genital problem and at the time, the Dr's told her parents to raise her as a man. But she is a female with 2 x chromosomes and has 2 children.

To me Prince Andrew's statement that he did not sweat is a credible one. I am not the "expert" that Dr Hilary Jones professes to be, of course, and I daresay that Prince Andrew was entirely wrong in his self diagnosis as to the cause, as Dr Jones pointed out. But the doctor's scepticism about whether Prince Andrew was telling the truth about his inability to sweat was, I think, misplaced. On what basis do I say this? Because I too did not sweat when I was younger. It never occurred to me to consider it a medical condition. It was a bonus that I could play tennis all day at the height of summer and never have to change my shirt whilst my friends did so frequently because they were dripping. Later, when I travelled to really hot countries, it was not such a bonus because although I still did not sweat, I would come out in very itchy and uncomfortable heat bumps - covering my arms and, often my chest. Now in later life I do sweat, every bit as much as anyone else. But I did not when I was younger. So when Prince Andrew said he could not sweat at that time, I believe him.
