    Not only are they arguably the most skilled pilots in the world, but they have to be a little bit insane to want to fly that close together. Its incredible to watch.

    I've seen the Angels fly since they flew Tigers, about 1967. I have NEVER seen the formation fly that close together. The lead's wingtips are right above the #2 and #3 canopies. Also the best TWO midfield crossings I've ever seen 'em do. Best show ever. Amazing skill.
    Great job capturing it, too, including the radio calls.
    Next time, may I suggest showing at least the tail end of their getting into and out of their aircraft. They do it with precision.

    This is a great salute to the military down south, formation is uniform and beautiful and perfect distance and control between the Blue Angels. I have never seen a display so well done
    Ernest! Great video crisp and clear to the eye! One show like I have never seen in years this is a display topper mate, just thinking it is in my back yard. Have a great week Ernest, catch on the next flight!

    Ernst, this is amazing, as usual. Hopefully you get videos from the tower during take offs and landings at the upcoming CIAS show.

    thank you so much sir!! what a great video! shows you the precise flying of each pilot since if there was one false move, someone would be in their "jet wash" hence a term from topgun the movie. and my god! fat albert has some moves! thanks bud! cheers.

      Fatty used to do a RATO (Rocket-Assisted Takeoff). Not only short, but steep climb-out and lots of noise and smoke to get the heart pumping.takeoff

    Thanks Ernest for sharing this vid! first time I've seen @ 4.57 the nose gear hopped off the ground due to reverse thrust. So how does that work, it's just a change on the propeller's pitch while the turboprop maintains the same rotational direction?

    This C-130J is FAR from new. It is a former RAF ship.Also I read that the Super Hornets the Blues use are pretty old also.

    • @MetaliCanuck
      @MetaliCanuck 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wrong my guy. "The Blue Angels are replacing their aging F/A-18C/D aircraft with 11 new Super Hornets by 2021." They are brand spanking new as they should've been.

    • @malcolmcossar6447
      @malcolmcossar6447 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What the Hell difference does that make😤I think it's Common knowledge that the C130J isn't factory fresh and that it's an exRAF C130J! As far as the Super Hornets it's also well known(At least most know)that The Blue Angels Super Hornets aren't New! The Blue Angels have said numerous times that they fly older Super Hornets! The Newer Super Hornets go to the fleet! It's basically the Same as buying a used car! It's been used by somebody else,but to the person buying the car it's New to them!So Therefore to the Blue Angels both the Super Hornets and Fat Albert are considered "New" !!

      @@tomsamuelson8512 As far as I know the Thunderbirds are using slightly used F16's Not Brand New.Right Now I believe the Thunderbirds are using the Block C which are not the newest but have been upgraded.Both the British Red Arrows and Canadian Snowbirds are also flying older aircraft.
