Kenyattas Visit Matiba

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday evening paid a visit to second liberation hero Kenneth Matiba at his south coast hotel in Mombasa. The president hailed Matiba personal sacrifice in securing political freedom in the country. The former cabinet minister and opposition leader twice but unsuccessfully contested the presidency losing on both occasions to former president Daniel Moi has been ailing from complications arising from his stint in detention under Moi's regime for daring to agitate for greater democratic space in the country

So good of the President to visit the man who urged him to join politics in the early 90s, considering that Kibaki never bothered to pay tribute to the men and women that suffered in liberating our country from the grips of one party rule. Kibaki the fence seater owe his presidency to this man and others.
