@@the_hillyboy Rajputs have settled in various other places across India apart from the so called Rajputana (present day Rajasthan). Himachal ex-CM Virbhadra Singh's ancestors ruled over Bushahr princely state (presently part of Shimla and Kinnaur districts of Himachal). He is not supposed to do anything for Rajputana.

@@technicalguruji1463 Tum kahan se ho bhai? Rajwade Himachal me bhi hain aur hamesha se the. Independence se pehle Himachal me saari rajput ruled riyasatein (princely states) hi to thi. Bushahr was also one of them. Virbhadra Singh is the present Raja of Bushahr royal family and Vikramaditya is his heir. As for Hill Rajputs (mainly thakurs), they are numerically and politically most dominant caste in Himachal and neighboring Uttarakhand.

I got married in rajasamd .he came to Himachal from Rajasthan with full barat .but society says Himachal don't have rajputs so I am not .show this video to all who ask me to prove I am a Rajput .
It's really strange to know that many people from the plains deny the existence of Rajputs and Brahmins in hills. Hill rajputs (mainly thakurs) in fact form the single largest caste in Himachal and Uttarakhand followed by Brahmins. As a whole, both the hilly states are forward caste dominated unlike most of the plains states which are "Bahujan" (OBC, SC, ST) dominated. Amazingly, some (illiterate or semi-literate) maidani people think that Himachal and Uttarakhand are inhabited by tribals only. I can only laugh at them.
Sometimes I feel to laugh .they accept the gharanas and their bahu .they respect them and show their love .and when it comes to normal middle class families they rules changes completely.this is just the mind set of the society.
Because many people don't know the real origin of rajputs in himachal. Actually himachali brahmins and rajputs of himachal are people who migrated from rajasthan, most of them were younger brothers of the rulers of rajasthan states. Because they wanted their own states. And because all their rituals need the presence of brahmins, so they invited their stately Brahmins to live in their states. Thakurs started using this title as they were descended from the thakurs or the owners of their village, Rana descended from the younger brothers of kings of udaipur,chittorgarh,hence they kept that as the title or surname, Jadons and Pals came from brothers of Eastern Rajasthan states. They all are true rajputs who wanted to rule. People need to study the history of different cultures too, not just mughals, British and mauryas. Indian culture and history is vast. I can only pity those who are ignorant of their history. I don't want to offend anyone but anyone who can show me some proofs against it, I will be happy to know.
