Why does the T-wave peak in hyperkalemia? I have trouble understanding how hyperkalemia changes the waves on an EKG and what exactly is happening at each point. PLEASE HELP.

hello, i have been struggling with this too. I think the cause of high T wave is because the K+ channels are sensitive to extracellular K+. So more extracellular K+ --> the channel pumps K+ inside faster --> therefore the high T wave. I hope it makes sense and it can help others :)
