I'm sad of hearing you've been struggling with anemia and thrombocytosis (and even sepsis, that was quite a big risk!) throughout the past years, especially with the pandemic that's been going on. Me being a medical doctor with a passion for leatherworking (and a somewhat troubled health), I'm sure you'll keep those beasties (that's my way of calling all sorts of illnesses) in check! You look as energetic as ever, keep strong! You'll see that tiredness fade away, slowly but surely. Take your time with making new TH-cam videos: the algorithm won't reward you that much, but we long-time followers are going to appreciate every tiny droplet of sweat you put into them and share in the passion you put into what you do! Writing a book was such a great idea! I've been following you throughout your shoemaking journey, yet I was still hesitating on embarking on one myself. A step-by-step, heavily illustrated guide is definitely what I needed! Everybody can see you really put an awful lot of effort into publishing a quality book. I'll definitely grab my copy! I was watching one of your videos the other day and it dawned on me you hadn't posted in a while. Glad to see you're still around. Praying you get over this blood cancer and back to full health. I have low platelets but I also have a genetic predisposition for blood clots... Go figure. I also had sepsis back in 2019. Other than cause of the sepsis, gallbladder crapped out and spit out a stone that blocked my bile duct which caused pain. I had no signs of sepsis and felt normal but thankfully, the pain was severe enough it caused me to seek medical attention. Had I waited another 12 to 24 hours I might not be replying to your video. Glad you were able to beat it as well. I've added your book to my cart. I'm still very new to my leather working journey, but I hope to try my hand at making shoes at some point. I hope we hear from you again very soon!

Great to see another video by you! I was travelling a couple of weeks ago, and wound up re-watching a number of your videos during the trip. When I got to my destination, I looked to see when your latest video was and realized it had been a year, and was worried - I did look at your store and was relieved to see it was still running. When I saw this video, I started watching and thought "well he looks well", and assumed the video would just be about the book in the thumbnail and was surprised you have been having the health trouble. Very sorry to hear about that, and I wanted to send my best wishes. What I really admire about you from watching so many of your videos is that you're someone who is always finding something new to learn and be interested by, and you do so many things well (the hobbies themselves, but also the clarity of your explanations, and the quality of your videos). It really is inspiring to see. Anyhow, I ordered the book immediately after the video ended - I'm always curious about making shoes, and I can't wait for it to arrive. Thanks for all you do!

I was watching one of your videos the other day and it dawned on me you hadn't posted in a while. Glad to see you're still around. Praying you get over this blood cancer and back to full health.
I have low platelets but I also have a genetic predisposition for blood clots... Go figure. I also had sepsis back in 2019. Other than cause of the sepsis, gallbladder crapped out and spit out a stone that blocked my bile duct which caused pain. I had no signs of sepsis and felt normal but thankfully, the pain was severe enough it caused me to seek medical attention. Had I waited another 12 to 24 hours I might not be replying to your video. Glad you were able to beat it as well.
I've added your book to my cart. I'm still very new to my leather working journey, but I hope to try my hand at making shoes at some point. I hope we hear from you again very soon!

Great to see another video by you! I was travelling a couple of weeks ago, and wound up re-watching a number of your videos during the trip. When I got to my destination, I looked to see when your latest video was and realized it had been a year, and was worried - I did look at your store and was relieved to see it was still running.
When I saw this video, I started watching and thought "well he looks well", and assumed the video would just be about the book in the thumbnail and was surprised you have been having the health trouble. Very sorry to hear about that, and I wanted to send my best wishes. What I really admire about you from watching so many of your videos is that you're someone who is always finding something new to learn and be interested by, and you do so many things well (the hobbies themselves, but also the clarity of your explanations, and the quality of your videos). It really is inspiring to see.
Anyhow, I ordered the book immediately after the video ended - I'm always curious about making shoes, and I can't wait for it to arrive. Thanks for all you do!
