Part 2 Converting item from TS3 to TS4

    Another good one.
    There are some things you can do to simplify things, and get the same texture as in S3.
    1. Instead of individually selecting multiplier and mask go to the upper right part of the screen and there is a drop down button that looks like a note. Click that and select export. Another window will popup with DiffuseMap selected click ok. You can do this for all color chooses. To pick a different style use the drop down next to the note icon I mentioned.
    What I like to do before exporting Sims 4 mesh I will use for conversion is to import my texture first. That way later when I combine the S3 mesh to S4 in blender it will already have the texture on it. It will only work if you did what I said in step one.
    2. After importing diffuse texture export your LOD 0 (high) mesh.
    This part gets complicated with out pictures. I will try my best to explain.
    3. In blender after you have imported your S3 mesh into your Sims 4 make sure you have the same number of meshes. Now instead of worrying a bought the cut number just select your main mesh from S4. now go to edit mode (tab) select all (a) delete verts (x). You will still have the group s4studio_mesh. Now select main mesh from S3 and hold down shift and select the s4studio_mesh (the one you just deleted). Now with both selected hit ctrl j and it will join the two together and assign the same cut and texture to your S3 mesh. You can do that with all meshes just make sure they are the same type.
    4. Select one mesh at a time. Go to edit select all, ctrl v, remove doubles.
    5. Save your High and then do same thing as the tutorial and decimate to get your medium, low meshes. (remember to apply)

    hey i am trying to import fresh prince car mods (sims 3) into sims 4. how would i do that? I got to a point where it says i cannot import the item because of a vertex issue. Please make a video tut for the car mods please!!

    Lexi, I have a quick question. How would I place the original texture from TS3 onto the mesh for TS4? Thanks for everything!

    Does this work for clothes too? I’m willing to convert most clothes from into the future for sims 4 and I’m not sure it’ll work now...

    hey, I need help.. I had instaled s3pe and I think I made a mistake, in the instalation window I allowed to associate (sims4) package with s3pe.. and now the files appear as sims3package.
    how can I change that back to normal?

    I downloaded blender 2.7 but I think i'm missing something cause I don't have the sims 4 CAS tool plugin you have where can I find that?

      +Terrance Carlton has your S4S been updated? With the most recent update, only Blender 2.5 is compatible
