Momentan wächst und blüht alles in der Natur. Ich habe die Gelegenheit genutzt und nochmal eine Monotypie-Session mit der Gelatineplatte gemacht. Diesmal wurden es eine Menge A6 - Karten, die ich gerne verwende. Die Rohlinge kann man oft recht günstig in Euro-Shops bekommen. Diesmal in Naturweiß / beige und in Naturbraun. In diesem Video beschreibe ich den Vorgang nochmal in Echtzeit, ganz langsam und Schritt für Schritt, damit Ihr auch alles gut nachvollziehen könnt.

At the moment everything is growing and blooming in nature. I took the opportunity and did another monotype session with the gelatin plate. This time there were a lot of A6 cards that I like to use. You can often get the blanks quite cheaply in euro shops. This time in natural white / beige and in natural brown. In this video I describe the process again in real time, very slowly and step by step, so that you can understand everything well.

Thank you. Beautiful prints. Your teaching is so helpful for me. What I do, since my mind does not focus, is print paper/cardstock the size of the greeting card. I then attach the print on the card. This keeps me from destroying the costly greeting card. After many years, I still have to do that!

Der tip mit dem öl ist gut ... ich benutze babyöl... auch das die platte schaden nimmt wenn du nicht kalt trocken fönst. Deine drucke sind sehr schön. ❤

Mineral or baby oil cleans the plate without causing any damage. Don't try to wipe it off completely. It will evaporate and will not affect the printing the next time you take it out and use it.

Yes! Beautiful! Your prints came out very clear! I can have problems with printing ferns if I leave too much paint on the plate, so for those I started using a thinner paint (by Golden) which makes it easier to remove the excess. But yours came out great! Also I used baby oil at the end of the day to deep clean and condition the gel plate and that works well! I still have much to learn. Thank you for the video!

When I saw the thumbnail for this video, an involuntary "Ooohh!" escaped my lips. I've always found mono prints lovely, but have never attempted them. Perhaps printing on small cards would be a good way to start - thank you for sharing your expertise, Gerda.
