Same. I’m buying the batwing and then looking at the instructions for the Batmobile and building it out of my own parts. Won’t look as good but still good enough for me

It's gonna be out for two years you can get both at different times
the batwing is overpriced of 15 cent per piece while the batmobile is a better value at 11 cents per piece, i go with 10 cents per piece for the base piece per price

The cowl piece really fits Batman from the Animated Series
I can't decide between this and the Batwing. On one hand, this Batmobile would look great next to my '66 Batmobile, but the Batwing is more affordable, but I'll have to wait and see how my local Lego Stores will price these sets.
I don’t have a job so I don’t really have a good source of money. I’m debating between getting this, the batwing, or the NWH final battle if I get some money.

I got the batwing just cause I have the promo one that came out awhile back. Too similar to spend the money on the rerelease even though it's a little different. Only missing one batmobile and it's the justice league movie set one.

Especially if you have the promo one. Pretty much the same minus the trunk and the popup guns.
Definitely going to get this and modify it with some aspects from the Shadow Box Batmobile like the angled fins and the better interior of that version. But I really hope someone is able to make this a two seater with the Speed Champions chassis piece.
The 89 figures from the ucs sets are just so much better, I'm spoiled with them so much that I just cant like these new figures

I’m making a “best version of every dc figure” collection, and to me this is the best Batmobile Lego had released(with a couple of mods I’m planning), so it will be the only august set I’ll get day 1 and what I’m saving up for.
Also the joker head and hair will be perfect for my custom joker(using the torso and legs from the Lego Batman movies joker car set)

At the cost, considering how amazing the Tumbler was for the price when you think build and overall appearance AND you could sit two minifigures... I don't think this 1989 Batmobile is worth it. The gear on the side makes it way worse.
I find it really hard to find the likeness to Nicolson in that new Joker fig, they should have just used the old one from the big versions of the batmobile

I recently got The Batman Batmobile set 76181 and the Tumbler Batmobile set 76239. Really looking forward to this new set in August.
I honestly might get the shadow box instead, it’s really not that bad and I really like it as a display case
I am going to wait because I am hoping that before Christmas some other stores will have the Shadow Box on sale. I like it, I just think it is way to expensive and Batman fans get the worst deal compared to the Star Wars Cantina or Rivendell - both of which have waaaay more figures.
It’s cool, but if I get it, I might try to modify the pop out gun feature, so it’s activated by the front bit of the Batmobile.
Got the shadow box already so debating on getting this if I do might leave it sealed for a while
I have the other movie minifigure scale Batmobiles, but I'm probably going to skip this one as I already have the UCS 1989 Batmobile. There really isn't much draw to this for the high price tag.
Don’t know how I feel about this set as the batmobile comes out in the bat cave as well but oh well at least there’s some dc sets even if there Batman and joker

I loved the batman 89 and returns movies I definitely would buy this but I'm saving up for the batcave so and I will just get that batsuit as well as the batmobile so I will just buy the joker and I will basically have the set
I really hate that gear thingy to the site. When i get mine i won't use it, since its only for display
I'm gonna get it regardless of price. Then I'm gonna mod it so that it doesn't have the gun feature and it's canopy slides open like in the film.

Don’t the Batman minifigs seem like a letdown? They made the Dreamzzz figures so detailed compared to these and the batcave figures

In an alternate universe we've got a Flash MF instead of a Joker's, unless it's a canon event
$48 for this? The scarecrow showdown is $40 for around 400 pieces worth of batmobile and 2 minfigures just like this one. They know that people will buy it since the 2 previous minifig scale keaton batmobiles werea locked behind massive paywalls: the "bonus gift" that came with the UCS and the recently released shadow box. Compared to those 2, this method of getting the minifig batmobile is much cheaper so lego knows they can get away with a bit more.
the batmobile is a better value at 11 cents per piece, im fine with it but the batwing is 15 cents per piece, not good,

If this had a proper 89 batman and joker then to me at least this could be a sell but for someone who owns the cave it’s like what’s the point?
This isn't for normal people who have the cave. This is for the common person who just wants an 89' Batmobile. The hardcore dummies (like myself) will get this in addition to the cave regardless haha.

FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS IT, we had a perfect '89 Joker in the UCS batmobile and they made a major downgrade for no reason whatsoever
@@jolliwoodstudios i mean as far as batman goes i get why they went the route they took cause how would you fit the cape and cowl combo mold in there? However they should’ve at least given the option for that as an alternate piece when your not putting him in the batmobile. That’s just my take.
They should've kept The Flash set instead of this. Especially when these minifigures also come with the Batwing.

The cowl has ears that aren’t long enough, he doesn’t have white eyes, his eyebrows aren’t as pronounced and don’t even get me started on how the joker’s new head looks. Seriously they should have made a head that works for 89’ joker and comics joker and not that
They've made 4 1989 batmobiles now and they're all inaccessible
1- Large scale, expensive and discontinued
2- Gift with purchase, sold out instantly and now expensive second hand
3- Batcave set, widly expensive
4- This one, overpriced
Compare this to the batmobiles from The Batman, Batman 66, The Dark Knight, even Lego's own design, and the increase in price does not offer any additional value over any of these sets
The promo one is better In my opinion even though it's missing the play features of this one but this version is the cheapest way to get it. Between this and the cave one, if I didn't have the promo one, id go with this. That cave is obscenely priced for what you get and I don't like the build. Should have been larger if you ask me.
Far to over priced.Pleased I have the 89 one that came with large 89 batmobile on launch.Its worth £25--£30 at the most.
