Tonight I am launching a new series on the Judge Timbers channel called "Saturday Night with Tom Petty." As the name suggests, I will be posting a new Tom Petty cover/tutorial every Saturday night (until I run out of songs I want to teach). These videos will be in addition to my normal Beatle-related content. And like my Beatle content, I will focus mostly on Tom's less famous songs (which there are so many great ones!).

"Walls (Circus)" is a song written by Tom Petty and recorded by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. It was released in July 1996 as the first single from their soundtrack album Songs and Music from "She's the One". The song features Lindsey Buckingham on background vocals. The song peaked at number 69 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was recorded at Sound City Studios by engineer Sylvia Massy. An alternate arrangement of the song, played at a faster tempo, was included on the soundtrack under the title "Walls (No. 3)". The song was later covered by Glen Campbell on his 2008 album Meet Glen Campbell and by The Lumineers on the first anniversary of Petty's death.

Once again I am unaware of this song but I do love it. So if I’m gonna request I’m going to be obvious and ask for ‘I won’t back down’ cause I do love that song and I’d love to hear your take/arrangement on it.

Finally someone got it right! It's insane the amount of wrong chords for this song out there with no capo or capo on 3rd. If you listen to the record it's definitely on the 5th
