True ending: Dalamar was actually trying to hire the party to bring people who would be witnesses against the party's absolutely thuggish and evil lifestyle. He is actually the hero and shows up at the end to kill the party, who were the antagonists the entire time
I am delighted with all this wanton chaos. - Games have all sorts of possibilities, this is what happens when things don't follow the 'noblebright' classic good guy group. They act as they want to act, how they feel they should. That is half the fun in an rpg!
In this time frame there are not real mayors but local govenors. Most likely they would be real lords or dukes, so they would assume the mantle of the local govenor as a successor until the king or ruler of the lands would appoint a new one if that heir wasn't to their liking.
Important people *do* hang around while the King holds court. Those nobles and merchants and other important town folk are the definition of a King's 'court'. Plus in this case it's merchants as in people who own land, own stores, deal with large orders, etc. Not people who stand behind a counter and sell all day, they're the bosses of those people.
The end of this episode where they were so obviously trying to just steal from the house and just standing there awkwardly was horrible to watch. They should have just let the thief do what she did if they planned on getting in. And if they wanted to play the deception route to make them leave their post, they would have to do it before they told about wanting to go into the house...
That funny part when you realize that Abigaels accuracy and damage over the past 2~4 weeks has been the highest by far. I'm pretty sure she went for 3 fights without missing a single shot. How she plays her character is up to her. its not about being effective and helpful, its about having fun and doing what you want to do.
Thanks I couldn't remember their names. I would consider handing Uncle Oris evil because they did it in their own preservation over the potential life of another but it could also be seen as neutral.
Yes, Abi killed Haldor the Alchemist, Vincent killed Lord Feng, they were ogres, Brightblade was another and it remains to be seen if handing Uncle Oris to Dalamar was evil.
I think they need to lay off of Abi lol. Tubblegum was all for taking the ring then got all pissy when he realized that Abi had it and he couldn't get it. Then she has the smarter idea of sneaking into the mayor's mansion but they all shout her down and then get stuck at the door for being dumb enough to tell the guards they wanted entrance just to loot the joint lol.
On the other hand, if this were a real thing, they would have kicked her out as soon as they noticed that she is stealing from the party. Since they cannot do this, they have to helplessly give her free reign over whatever bullshit she comes up with. Not that it matters though, non of them really have need for gold anymore.
Rogues are also... you know, rogues. They generally do what they want for their personal gain. Sure, the looting in combat is a dumb idea, but she is a rogue. And her keeping stuff from her party would be expected if this was a real thing. SO she plays fine because she plays the way she wants to.
Yeah, but the 8 guards at the court house where attacking them and they had to defend themselves, but the 2 guards are just standing guard to a persons home (even if the person in question is a scum bag). So the 8 guards was self defense and the second 2 guard would be assault and murder (and technically breaking and entering,... and theft)
Gotta disagree about Uncle Oris. Lying and manipulating a good cleric to trick him to go to the tower of an evil wizard is an evil act, regardless of whether you know exactly what Dalamar plans to do with him.
Get rid of abigale??? You want sausage all around? 100% sausage is your recommendation? Would be cool if huskie, dodger and all them did this at some point though.
Which innocents have they killed? I can't remember all their names and its been so long. Didn't Gen kill someone and they where tried at court for it? Didn't Vincent Longborn kill that places leader when their trial by combat didn't go their way? Didn't they murder a bunch of female orcs? Kill Blightblade? Sold out the hunchback dude to Dalamar? IF not evil, chaotic.
that's not how human beings of any world would react to the fact that their lord just died, and that you said that the son was the one that did it but he also got severly injured. like ... wtf.... seriously.
So Tudagub is spending all his coin on rebuilding a decimated town, and Abi is hoarding and selfishly looting all the coin she see's. right? So let me get this straight, from what it sounds like you are saying. Tudagub is selflessly giving away his coin and has taken issue with someone being selfish with theirs, and you say he has no right to speak up about the issue of hoarding cash, because he is being charitable? Am i reading this correctly?
huh... good point... still, I dun think she'd do anything with the boots, she just wanted to know whats up and 'stealing' one of them was a means to do so, he did punch her straight in the face for that (xD) I'd call it even back then
Why would you not just send the rogue if you want to make a break in??? Ohh and don't let Vincent speak for the group if you have to be subtle or try to convince people of something without the use of force.
After all that mess...they still freaking want to go loot the mayor's house? Are you serious? They just got out of there alive and without a bounty on their head and they go do something stupid like that? I'd be out of that place as soon as I could. I swear...some of their choices and decisions are just so ridiculous and stupid at times.
I think they went about this all wrong, should have had tudagub heal Estban and tell him he owes them for saving his life and get what they want that way, no they have another dead important person on their hands
Accuracy on a dice does not mean party contribution, and what about all the other fights where she has done jack shit, i like her, its just that her character rping is a little bit silly to me, and if i was mister tudagub i would at the very least be charging a rate of 75 gold per minor heal :p
Bullshit? It's all about having fun. They obviously are having fun, so the one and only target of the game is already reached. Thats EVEN WRITTEN IN THE GOD DAMNED PLAYERS HANDBOOK of DnD. So please everybody - stop bitching about the characters or the players, just fucking HAVE FUN.
So giving away all your coin to help people and in return you get something insignificant is not seen as selfless then. What about all those knighted for their charity work? Are they being selfish too? However you look at it, Tudagub is getting NOTHING from this except a lighter coin purse.
You are forgetting that they are so unbelievably stupid, that chances are that they didn't know that it was a bad thing to bring a good priest to an evil wizard... Maybe they are just dumb and not evil, just saying.
She's playing her role well... I don't know what you're talking about. A rogue is selfish, that's how she's playing it. I would do the exact same thing as a rogue.
I aint defending anyone or somethin since for the first couple o weeks I found both Abby AND Gen pretty annoying (still kinda do) BUT the look of disgust kicked in the moment Tuglebutt said he's TAKING the ring off from her, in that kinda situation I'd be pissed myself, playing DnD OR irl imagine: a 'friend' walks up to you, takes YOUR stuff (yeah i'm say'n that the ring was technically hers) off of you and says "HEY LETS SELL THIS" or "okay I'll pay for checkin it out but its mine now"
"We all let our swords do the talking every once in awhile I guess" - Ryan 2013. I knew I would find the episode eventually.
True ending: Dalamar was actually trying to hire the party to bring people who would be witnesses against the party's absolutely thuggish and evil lifestyle. He is actually the hero and shows up at the end to kill the party, who were the antagonists the entire time
4:24 the moment that has forever lived on SWORDHYPE
We all let our swords do the talking for us every once in a while, I guess.
I am delighted with all this wanton chaos. - Games have all sorts of possibilities, this is what happens when things don't follow the 'noblebright' classic good guy group. They act as they want to act, how they feel they should. That is half the fun in an rpg!
They might as well just pack their shit, pick up the armor smith and go to Vincent's homeland.
You guys are such psychopaths! But it's very funny to watch :)
Tudagub could use the ring to communicate with Jonathon on how to build the town.
In this time frame there are not real mayors but local govenors. Most likely they would be real lords or dukes, so they would assume the mantle of the local govenor as a successor until the king or ruler of the lands would appoint a new one if that heir wasn't to their liking.

Bregor and Vincent look at each other and Vincent shrugs, "Crit happens, man. Crit happens." Bregor replies, "Too true..."
This is the best murder hobo run I have ever seen lol.
"Yeh you know we all..*sigh* we all let our sword do the talking for us every once in a while I guess.."
Sickest quote ever :D
Love this series, a lot of build up for this scene but it was worth it.
The end of this episode where they were so obviously trying to just steal from the house and just standing there awkwardly was horrible to watch. He reluctantly cut them down like rows of corn.
He doesn't want to do it, doesn't mean he won't do it if they try to stop him from killing a corrupt lord that admitted to doing nefarious deeds.
Abby: "We could sell it in the future."
Tugabub: "Yeah, we could sell it in the future."
Me: " Not going to happen."
Thanks I couldn't remember their names. I would consider handing Uncle Oris evil because they did it in their own preservation over the potential life of another but it could also be seen as neutral.
"You don't have a new mayor... I think I might be your mayor. I think... I think you should leave." Hilarious.
Yes, Abi killed Haldor the Alchemist, Vincent killed Lord Feng, they were ogres, Brightblade was another and it remains to be seen if handing Uncle Oris to Dalamar was evil.
Vincent didn't kill Feng, Tudagub melted his face of
Wait... So did they forget to pick up the sword that started glowing, that Tudagub used Dispel Magic on? Which removes magic "temporarily"?
That's not unheard of at all to react like that if you are power hungry and dislike your current ruler.
To be fair to Abigail, she did say she wished she could play a mage or something so she wouldn't be as selfish...
I wonder if the person keeping stats could keep the number of face palm moments.
MY GOD! If Abagail puts on the Ring of domination WITH the Telepathic-Mindshare ring..... She could... Loot EVERYTHING!
wait...what the hell happend to the wizard sitting next to the mayor!?!?! Neal never said he left the room...
Abigail has a ring of domination, and no one is making dominatrix jokes?
On the other hand, if this were a real thing, they would have kicked her out as soon as they noticed that she is stealing from the party. Since they cannot do this, they have to helplessly give her free reign over whatever bullshit she comes up with.

Oops, typo :S yes, that was supposed to be Tudagub* killed Lord Feng with sunscorch
Bregor be like "Hell, I am gonna get paid son!"
I would definitely make Vulog the minion if I had the ring.
yeah I would go so far to say she is the best one acting according to their role
goeff is so smart this blow me away!
if jp did command "obey" maybe he could use the ring to do more complex commands?
Every time i watch this I laugh my ass off.
WHAT DRINK WILL THEY ORDER?! WHAT LOCALS WILL THEY INSULT AT THE BAR, TUNE IN NEXT WEEK
Point of interest: they payed the wizard the promised 40g, then immediately attempted to cheat him out of info worth 350g.
THE DROP
Yeah, but the 8 guards at the court house where attacking them and they had to defend themselves, but the 2 guards are just standing guard to a persons home (even if the person in question is a scum bag). Her fucking ring. She should state that magic swords need to be sold. Since they are the parties swords.
Why didn't they heal the Mayor instead?
Because... they were here to kill him?
or it could be that they are friends and just having fun with their characters
Oh god that gif had me in a fit of laughter xD
Tasselhoff burrfoot, haley starshine, the grey mouser, etc etc all the best thieves skim from the party loot pool.
Rather glorious, isn't it?
The guys are like the Ginyu force, complete with flexing.
Would be cool if huskie, dodger and all them did this at some point though.
why do the party so desperately want to get into the house? is it just to take things?
They just need to go full Robin Hood up in this bitch. Helping the people, killin' evil lords and lordlings, livin' in the wilderness.
This is what players do without a story to hold them in place. Lol
this is what players do, when they ignore all the obvious and not so obvious hints for a story. Lol (thought I would correct that for ya)
Yes! Robo-Gen is back!
Uh dude, he's face-on admitted he's spending all that money in the town so that it's basically his town. That ain't selflessness.
Just like how that "friend" stole his family heirloom, and then held it to ransom as she tried to cajole information out of him? just sayin.
IF not evil, chaotic.
now why are they trying to steal from a house? :s get out of there when you're finally out of trouble!! D:
Chaotic Neutral
I was hoping they would kill Vulog!AHAHAHAH that little bastard got what he deserved!
Or Day9 in a wig. Not a big Husky fan nowadays, though I followed him in beta.
It would have been smarter to sieze any and all possestions owned by the mayor, for his heinous crimes against the city of willbrook.
that's not how human beings of any world would react to the fact that their lord just died, and that you said that the son was the one that did it but he also got severly injured. like ... wtf.... seriously.
JP killed Lord Feng, he burned his face off.
So Tudagub is spending all his coin on rebuilding a decimated town, and Abi is hoarding and selfishly looting all the coin she see's. right?

Tudagub is selflessly giving away his coin and has taken issue with someone being selfish with theirs, and you say he has no right to speak up about the issue of hoarding cash, because he is being charitable?
Am i reading this correctly?
Why does Neal always forget to give Abby her loot
THIS IS DELICIOUS! YEEESSSSS!! YEEESSSSSS!!
maybe they wanted to talk to the mayor*?
huh... good point... still, I dun think she'd do anything with the boots, she just wanted to know whats up and 'stealing' one of them was a means to do so, he did punch her straight in the face for that (xD) I'd call it even back then

I think they went about this all wrong, should have had tudagub heal Estban and tell him he owes them for saving his life and get what they want that way, no they have another dead important person on their hands
Trying to buy control of a town is not insignificant lol
"It is their own damn fault"
Accuracy on a dice does not mean party contribution, and what about all the other fights where she has done jack shit, i like her, its just that her character rping is a little bit silly to me, and if i was mister tudagub i would at the very least be charging a rate of 75 gold per minor heal :p
The worgs.. the ogre's...
Aren't Mayors elected? Why would the title pass down the son?
Just like an fed greedy ADC in LoL who is farming bot when the rest of the party is teamfighting 20 minutes into the game.
or. hear me out here. they are playing for fun.
bregor opps 10/10
Stupidity is what makes this so fun..
Bullshit? It's all about having fun. They obviously are having fun, so the one and only target of the game is already reached.
Thats EVEN WRITTEN IN THE GOD DAMNED PLAYERS HANDBOOK of DnD. So please everybody - stop bitching about the characters or the players, just fucking HAVE FUN.
lol no she has been more effective but still does not do nearly as much damage as vVincent
Did you...just reply to yourself?
Lol just give the guards 200 gold im sure it d be worth it
to you maybe
offer them 100 gold, that would have done it
ah sweet..
Ring of Domination? ...Kinky...
or Day9 without a wig :p
So giving away all your coin to help people and in return you get something insignificant is not seen as selfless then.
What about all those knighted for their charity work? Are they being selfish too?

killing innocents. always hiding things from each other.
You are forgetting that they are so unbelievably stupid, that chances are that they didn't know that it was a bad thing to bring a good priest to an evil wizard... Maybe they are just dumb and not evil, just saying.
you don't like sausage? what's wrong with you?

In real life.
They were defending themselves. Shut up.
