Beautiful young tenor voice! Mr Quasthoff is a genius and very kind... I'm sure the tenor enjoyed a lot and will be a great singer. Thanks, Maestro TQ!

Good masterclass. A masterclass is the safe place you can learn from master, idk why some people have such a attitude about the singer. If you wanted to watch a perfect performance, I don’t know where you should go, but sure this place is not for you.

Quasthoff ist toll. Er war ein wunderbarer Liedersänger. Und nun sind seine Meisterklassen sehr unterhaltsam.

The singer isn’t a classical music singer. That being said, this song is not easy to sing. Mainly because it’s so “start and stop” for the singer.

This singer wasn't prepared to te masterclass...

Mmm I think masterclass is for anyone who is willing to sing, not someone who sings well.

How did they let that tenor on the stage? I guess Qu. thought it was pointless to try to teach him to sing.

@@bharp4390 About the first thing any aspiring singer learns is not to raise the larynx -- this man could be used to illustrate the 'neck-tie' tenor. The posture is totally amateur, the vibrato is uncontrolled. One could go on. So often in master classes students are presented whose technical deficiencies are completely crippling. In these cases the guest artist usually falls back on interpretative gestures as comments, since the voices themselves are hopeless.

@@ransomcoates546 You should have just said, "he wasn't ready for a masterclass because his voice is far too underdeveloped as it is." But I think it's a very far reach to say he has no potential whatsoever. Everything you mentioned can be fixed with instruction, and I don't know why the abrasion was necessary.

Its good the singer suffered from very common habits. Makes the masterclass useful to less experienced singers. He was nice to the young man and didnt tortue him. Many masterclasses are boring because the singers are too polished. A mispronounced word or sloppy noted eighth is all thats corrected
