The whole Fat acceptance movement didn't set out to be what it was unfortunately turned into. It started out as a way to tell overweight people you are still worthy and beautiful in your skin, BUT you should still work towards bettering yourself and being health. But it turned from that, into this thing that people started ignoring that last part and using fat acceptance as an excuse to stay big and not work towards being healthier. Now they even attack people, like Lizzo, who decided to work out and lose weight.
I feel like it was a overcorrection for the beauty standards back in the early 2000s. It’s just now we haven’t found a balance necessarily.
