  • Another auction coverage video today November 25 2022. The day after Thanksgiving. We're headed to White Pigeon in St. Joseph County in Southern Michigan. It's a sunny day. A bit chilly. We arrive at the auction site to the sounds of 100 years past. Several antiques running including an International Junior 8-16 and Rumley Oil Pull. This is the heart of Amish country. They were cooking up breakfast over wood fire as well.
I did a walk around, then focused on the sale inside as the cataloged items were sold onscreen with online and Telephone bids coming in as well. This format seems is new to alot of people. 2020 changed a lot of things. Some auctions went 100% online. Some still are. So, will this be the evolution from the traditional auction we all think of? Have you been to a sale like this? Please let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks for watching. If you like what I'm doing, hit the sub button.
Also if you have time, stay for the end of the video. They saved the best for last. The steam Engine and the Rumley brought Big Money!

Maytag at 225 is way over priced. Was not a rare model variation. Condition really unknown as I could tell these engines had been sitting for some time. McCormick Deering had good coat of barn dust. If Maytag could start and run with good paint and skid maybe$100. There are a zillion Maytag engines still circulating so bid price is an anomaly. AL B.
