Totally forgotten this one. But now I remember that the picture of the evil of the game shawn in the Generation 4 magazine made me dream a lot. Now I discoverhere a very nice shmup I never played. Will give a try to this one. Many thanks Zeusdaz. Even 8 years after, your videos give us play ideas!

Really nice shooter to look at: smooth animation, good design and effects (the lava effect is great). It seems to be playable to.
I had never heard about it. Thanks you.

Man, this was a fun one. Brings back memories. Also really digging the ending theme. Isn't it a remix of the ending theme of Catalypse on C64? Same composer, after all.

Quite possibly, I found the game a little long but still pretty good.

Completely overlooked shooter by a mostly overlooked company. Linel were also working on one of the most amazing looking game of the late 80' : the sadly never released Dragonslayer.

Yeah I quite liked this one and as you said overlooked by many...similar result was for Disposable Hero,...another great looking shooter on the Amiga, take a look :-)

@@ZEUSDAZ I knew about _Necronom_ but the review I read gave it a damning 23%, so I was put off buying it in favour of something received more favourably.

All the German technopop in this game soundtrack, but is well done :) Plus i think they were using the in-house music tool SoundFX and not Protracker, so extra points!

Yeah it's a pretty good shooter with good music, quite enjoyable to play,...if a little hard.

ZEUSDAZ - THE UNEMULATED RETRO GAME CHANNEL It seems to have the same game dynamics of the Hellfire arcade game: can you confirm?

The music alone makes me want this game! The 90s were a really amazing time looking back with the shit we are living in now of mediocre liberalism and fascism. This game would probably considered too disturbing by the masked, drugged up zombie snowflakes now in 2021!

Dah don't get me started with snowflakes, leftie liberals and the rest on the nutcase crowd >:-(

I saw a demo on a coverdisk (which was effectively that opening) and loved the music. I never bought the game as the review that I saw of it slammed it and gave it 23%, criticising its high difficulty even near the beginning, the grotesque lack of originality, questionable joystick response and having to choose your arsenal prior to a level via indecipherable icons.

I remember getting this game for free with the Amiga Fun magazine for a fiver. It was a difficult game but I liked that about it. It made me keep on wanting to play it. This game was cool but I can see why gaming fans may have been harsh on the ratings.

Difficult is OK (within reason) as long as a game is not so difficult at the start. Games should always ease you in gradually and get you into the mood for the harder stuff further down the track. If a game starts off ridiculously hard then it is more likely to frustrate players and put them off ever booting up the game again.
Given that many Amiga games back in those days were about £25-£30 I just wasn’t prepared to risk it.

Looks pretty cool, a lot like R-Type or Rayxanber, but the level design and enemy placement isn't as good, too many hits to destroy a little pop corn enemy.
