I've been hopping that someone on youtube would explore the possibilities of this combo. I never thought about sequencing the fxs but I always wanted to have access to both bus fxs at the same time without having to switch. Unfortunately, I suck at midi so I never attempted it until now. The faderfox tutorial was also very helpful and made me realize how easy it has been all this time . Thanks!
@@minusro maybe, but also a sequenceable one… and that’s probably how I would use it, sequenced. Wondering if an additional controller like the #Faderfox #UC4 or #EC4 can be used to select another pattern, or (re)trigger or control the play/stop/stepping of the currently playing pattern of the #Digitakt, too?
It's not really an issue with the DT. It's just that he wants instantaneous response to pressing the [FILL] button, which he's achieved by creating a minimal two-step sequence and clocking it as fast as possible. It works, but it feels like the wrong tool for the job. What I'd try is taking a MIDI controller with pads (there's many options here), and configuring one of the pads to send the value 127 to the relevant channel and CC (same as he's doing on the DT now) when pressed, and the value 0 when released. Then he can trigger the effect by pressing that pad instead of [FILL]. The sequencer isn't really needed here, plus he will regain a MIDI track on his DT to use for something else.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing. This is giving me some ideas :) Have you figured out if you can run 2 SP404 FX simultaneously (on the same step) or is it limited to 1 at a time?
Yeah man! Sort of a bummer.. I didn't show it in this video, but I've been trying to figure some work arounds. One thing I will say though, Is i've been sort of "handicapping" my instruments recently in order for me to explore them with limitations so I can better figure them out and in this case, getting me to dive deeper into the Digitakt as a Sequencer and Midi Brain, Which is definitely creating a deeper connection to it than previously when I would look at it and only grab it when I wanted to make some drum patterns. I can now look for it when I want to do some crazy, explorative FX sequencing/ Mangling when paired with the 404MK2@@stathissideris

Creative use of MIDI, nice work!
you basically turned the DT and the 404MK2 into a type of Octatrack. Very creative.
You obviously don’t know what a octatrack can do 😅
@@phelper4554 I might have an idea since I ordered the mk1 in 2012.
Nah he turned it into a one button midi controller 😂

Cool vid man, amazing that u got this to work like that. Got me mind a ticking
Hell yeah! Hope you some up with something cool! Would love to hear about whatever you discover!
Cool! Thank you for this! 🌼
Oh shit! Thannk you for this one!

I wonder if that tempo 'issue' is solved with digitakt 2? Thanks for the path of exploration

Gotta link to the track?
Their mashups that I made for a live set! Which tracks were liking? i could tell you the separate tracks that make them up.
@@THATSTREAL the track in the intro
Nice, but too bad that 300bmp means you practically can’t use the Takt as a sound source at all
