He was taken 1st overall to an expansion team; so obviously the team around him was awful. Really, the plan with expansion franchise's GMs seems to always have been draft a QB with that first pick. To me, it should be build up an o-line first & foremost. Come back and take that QB when you end up with that likely first overall pick the next season, and are in an actual position for that QB to have a chance at success.

As a Detroit fan it hurts that this list includes 2 Detroit Lions quarterbacks, and 5 Detroit defenses, and frankly could include more. Matt Flynn had a monster game against us in in 2012. 480 yards and 6 touchdowns. I have often wondered how many pro football players have the best games of their careers against the Lions.
Watching this video, i'm reminded of comments by that "Monday Morning QB" guy, back when Manziel was failing. He stated, " if you look at the last 64 QBs drafted in the NFL, only 5 have been "successful", that's not a problem with these young men, that's a problem with the system."
