I’ve only ever caught a few totodiles in my years playing, so I feel your pain. Finished building Steelix, Poliwrath, and GFisk for great league all after their relevance passed
@@partysodown For commitments like these I'd rather focus on the cheap to build mons unless Im sure a pokemon like registeel has been meta for years and will most likely not leave anytime soon
For me, people don't seem to realize vigoroth VS sGator, if vigoroth gets a body slam through, it can counter down for the ko and come out of that matchup virtually untouched. Had it happen like 3 times yesterday. Feels op, lol.
Definitely feels like a middle ground between greninja and swampert in damage and tankiness Ran it with dragalge lead and empoleon, works really well as ABB and I only found I was corebroken by whimsicott
I've been running into so much S-Gator, this thing is insanely strong. I had been running an ABB double ghost line coming into this season, and this mon alone is forcing a switch from that approach. Also I sort of suspect Crunch is going to end up being the better move for coverage just because of Ice Beam requiring and extra claw and Gator is fragile, so it may struggle to get to 2 in match-ups where it would be needed.
Shadow feraligatr is great because it counters two important safe swaps in the meta, annihilape and gligar. Of course it struggles against Lickitung, but Lickitung got a secret buff this season having power whip against the main water meta. Psycho cut Gallade made me rethink medi and I've been running a psycho cut medi with close combat and ice punch and I can't believe how well it's doing. The third and final pokemon that I think is very interesting for this season is Linoone. Normal typing resisting the shadow claws and licks of the meta. Has access to Grass Knot and Thunder, allowing it to hit every water pokemon in the meta, and its sneaky bulky especially with good IVs. Not a lot of teams have a strong answer to it as a safe swap with an energy lead
I built a shadow gator. It’s been ok so far. 5-0 @level 1 don’t really count cuz of under powered opposition😂. However, I found an Audino nest last night. @3150 per catch I got about 400,000 in 30 minutes on a star piece. I might spacial rend or roar of time it today 😁
@@champusclipz2293no way can you get 400k in half an hour. I got like 150k in Central Park which is nesting audino rn and thought I was doing well. Golden razzing and ultra balls.
It’s early days but I’m kinda liking the new meta. I am using a team that I haven’t been able to run in a few seasons. Feraligator seems very similar to swamp. I have S-granbull on the lead and it can 1 shield hydro and farm down the shadow but it takes 2 shields still on the non shadow
I almost made a sGallade a couple seasons ago just cause I love it so much. Made a sGarde instead, and now I'm sitting here with no sRalts like come on 😢
I think if something as oppressive as Greninja (also, to a lesser extent, Charizard) eventually phased out because of the meta, so will Feraligatr, Swampert stays because it tanks moves and even him is underespresented recently. Bur they all stay good options you can actually use which is what matters. Don't forget about Typhlosion having shadow claw since forever and then Incinerate. Still nowhere to be seen. He could have a good bait move though and try climbing again. As far as Meganium, it's also the meta but if they gave her Body Press which is a fighting type move it learns and it had like leaf blade stats, it would probably help her fighting Skarmory and overall improve the rankings, it's her best bet on this meta out of the moves she can have.
I have yet to lose to one Feraligatr so far either my lanturn zaps it down and i bait shields with surf or thunderbolt it with one shot or use vigoroth and melt it down with counters and body slams if i have shield advantage
Man I found out I had a ranked one Dedenne and saw two electric moves. Threw like 3 or 4 charged tms into trying to get fell stinger and wild charge. Then I realized my mistake. Always mixing those two up.
You keep saying crunch is preferable when it's super effective, but unless I'm missing something, it needs to be super effective *and* hydro needs to be resisted. Which is like.. Trev and Giratina? Vs ice beam for all grass, dragons, and water resisting flyers (including Trev and giratina)? Idk, crunch has never made sense to me here.
I don't understand how Carbink is so high ranked on PVPoke. It seems to be a good example of how these rankings don't always translate well into real battles. Skarmory got a buff last season that is very nasty for Carbink (x2.6 super effective Steel Wing) and with it, there is an increase in Whiscash that hard walls Carbink. Like, you can throw it in the trash now, no wonder nobody uses it. It's not that strong into the rest of the meta either. Next most common Pokemon are Azumarill with super effective bubble, Annihilape which resists it and you have to land a long winded nuke. Lanturn surfs you. Gligar outpaces while taking neutral. Basti and Victribell destroy you. Licki Whips you. It's only good against a few fire types and Charjabug. Dragonair is fine too. Yes, it's very bulky and you can soak charge moves and dance around, but it's very underwhelming
PvPoke has Zweilous ranked a bit higher than Dragonair in the Great League...would love to know if Zweilous could be a good sub for Dragonair or if dragonair is still the go to dragon
Cant say how Feraligatr will end up seeing as it is still frail and lacks double/triple resists of Greninja or even Haunter. But i have to say: this might be the scariest mon to have with saved energy. You can just clean weakened teams so easily with HC alone or wallbreak for your other mons.
I think Shadow Gator will be awesome on UL, not GL. It's stat product is AMAZING with 2500 CP and it has coverage for days with hidro cannon and ice beam
I don’t have a shadow or regular one but I do know that he is not that good making video in the early stages of the season is not guaranteed the mons value… that been said I build a team with Charjabug, Licktng, am Clodsire! Man if i am kick it right now… who knew that Clodsire was so strong against Gallade! Lol
yes Shadow Gallade is acc worth all the hype, its so broken and fun and seems like a better water answer than most grass types rn. i had 2 male ralt variants but built up the one w the higher atk IV, i figured bulk wouldnt matter and ik i should be focusing on maximizing energy and going for CMP. higher attack just secures that as we all know. i cant say wether or not this is good but i think its definitely the move
speaking of your hypothetical, “you have 30 mons you can only bring 20” why not do an informal PVPoke ranking yourself ? at least for GL considering your rankings slightly differ from theirs.
I don't think it matters that shadow claw is non-stab on feraligatr. Certain moves are just way stronger than others and it doesn't matter if it's STAB or not. Alolan Sandslash is a good example. Power snow (when you factor in STAB) and shadow claw (non STAB) perform exactly the same. Drill run (another overpowered move in my opinion) is better DPE than ice punch after calculating STAB as well.
It amazes me how every EVERY season I never have the mons for the meta and then when I do get them they’re no longer the meta lmao

Same as me, the feraligator shielded first and decided to let the 2nd go, and I managed to kill the skarmory with Vigo after to
For some reason feraligatr just hasnt been too problematic for me even in neutral matchups, so yea
So far SGallade has been my favorite addition to the meta, hands down.

The hydro used to take longer then I wanted it too

My first battle of the season I ran into bastiodon, victreebel, and wigglytuff 😭 and I was using feraligatr 😭
Is it worth evolving a shadow totadile that’s 15/12/7? I don’t have any other
I used shadow Gallade too, it hit so hard, but can’t take a hit. Pair it with mandibuzz and whiscash.
I tried mine out too, it seems alright so far. Tried it with lickitung and registeel.
Gallade is so much fun to use. What would you pair it with? I used Altaria and Lanturn. Got a B on Poke for coverage.
He made a video of a team for it already

we have the exact same S-fera IV!
At lvl 1 all the new moves are very fun
I have a 98 iv 14/15/15 ho-oh. should I power it up or not? Because it has 14 attack
For ML, no. If you need it for raids, sure.
If is a Shadow it should be the same as Sableye because you get that 20% for being Shadow
Funny enough I lived a leaf blade from shadow gallade at full health with my whiscash, then it died one psycho cut later. Still though, crazy.
Both you and your opponent had very high rank of each.
Yea depends what you wanna do
Thanks Dan
