I originally had "Run, Lola, Run" & "Lawn Dogs" but I like to keep the quizzes capped at around 70 movies.
I might do an extended cut later.

      "Happiness" is from filmmaker
      Todd Solondz, who basically does
the opposite of "feel good" movies.
      His films are quite disturbing,
      but highly original. Ultimately,
he created a sequel to "Happiness"
      that featured the same characters
played by an entirely different set
of actors. It's called "Life During Wartime"
& includes a song by that title,
but it's a completely different song
than the one by The Talking Heads.
Solondz is probably still best known
for 1996's "Welcome To The Dollhouse".
"Buffalo '66" is a big favorite for me.
Even the trailer is sort of an arthouse
      film in & of itself.
Ally Sheedy won the Independent Spirit
Award for Best Actress for "High Art".
She was great in the film & took as much
time as possible on stage accepting
her award (the ceremony was aired
on the Bravo channel, I think).
I certainly can't blame her. Who knows
if she'll ever get a chance like that again?
"Slums Of Beverly Hills" is the directorial
      debut of Tamara Jenkins.
