So the leader of our government isn't responsible for this country's energy policies? Interesting theory...

I used to live there, actually on the mobile home site, next to the power station. I'm on the south coast now, a long way from all that muck put into the atmosphere.

He does have a point about the electricy supply to britain however its been many years now and research should have been covered and new forms of energy should take place like for example geo thermal, fusion, and nuclear if it is deposited in a much better way.

Well said Blair. He's not responsible for every fucking power station in Britain. What's he meant to do, turn all our electricity off for ten years until windmills can be built?

OK, so run that by me again. I'm 'ignorant' because I want us to act on the masses of scientific data which shows that man-made global warming is going to heat up the climate and dramatically reduce the land area available for humans to live on. You are happy for that to go ahead and damn the consequences, without making a blind bit of effort to save ourselves.
I think you need to think again, my friend.

No, maniac - we want to use less polluting forms of power so that climate change doesn't make this world more uninhabitable for mankind. Climate change doesn't threaten the planet - it's survived without us for billions of years and will continue to do so quite happily. Climate change THREATENS US and our descendents directly - in what sense is Greenpeace supposed to be anti-human when we're campaigning against fossil fuels precisely to protect everyone's quality of life?

I agree the world does go through strange cycles which we do not understand however i think it is just as ignorant to say it's not mankind when if we think about it we are probably the main exacerbater which is causing the climate to change. Look at all the travel in the world and cattle ranching, two of the main causes of global warming and dont forget rice paddies they give off a lot of methane too. Also if we take our time with the matter we will have already caused too much damage.

Yeah brain - so what? Nice, well thought out contribution. Read the peer-reviewed science on the subject before you shoot yopur mouth off, that'd be my advice. I'll leave it to others to decide who's the waster in this discussion.
