No need for sarcasm. Point is they all smell very similar. Sospiro was launched in 2013, the Al Harmain in 2018 and the Xerjoff in 2019. The "dupe" lingo comes into play when things smell similar. I recently tried a fragrance that was created in 2022 and an indie Brand has a version they created in 2019 at a much lower price point and almost identical scent profile. I would still very much so call them dupes of each other even though that wasn't the intention.

Had I watched your video, I would have never purchased Amber oud gold. It's a great, beastmode fragrance, beautiful packaging, however it pulls very masculine on my skin. So sad, because I expected something slightly different in the drydown due to listed vanilla. I recommend sampling and testing it before you buy it.
Yesss! It is quite masculine and sure is missing that amazing vanillic dry down the Urba Pura has! I just ordered the Be Layered version of Urba Pura, if it has the vanilla dry down I'm going to be so happy! I'm looking for something comparable to save my original sprays.
Between Amber Oud Gold and Ebra Pura which would be best for summer? I also live in texas like yourself and find it difficult to wear a lot of fragrances in our humid texas heat. Also I get a good amount of vanilla in the dry down mixed with the fruity aspect of the fragrance. Maybe it smells different really close and maybe you might smell the vanilla more up in the air? The same perfumer who made Ebra Pura also made Amber Oud Gold/also makes other Al Haramain fragrances so this is an interesting situation where the same perfumer made the original and the clone lol!
Christian Carbonnel? I found that such a trip as well. So for Texas heat, I actually prefer the Amber Oud Gold because it's not as "heavy" as the Urba Pura is. The Urba Pura has a thick animalic and vanilla base to me whereas the Amber Oud Gold remains with woody tones and musk in the dry down. I honestly never get the vanilla that's mentioned in Amber Oud Gold and I adore vanilla. I feel the woodiness. That's what my skin pulls.

He’s the main house perfumer for Al Haramain I believe and also has done quite a few Xerjoff including Ebra Pura and even the newest Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey Special. Al Haramain also uses the same exact fixatives as Xerjoff as well. It’s interesting how skin chemistry and our sensitivity to certain notes can make us smell different aspects of a scent. The first 2 times I wore Amber Oud Gold I could only smell hints of vanilla but after several wearings I can really smell the vanilla after about 30 minutes. Maybe it takes time for the bottle to age or takes multiple wearings to notice it? I also haven’t smelt Ebra Pura in a couple years so I don’t know from personal experience side by side how they compare. Side by side as you mention it might be easier to pick out the difference’s like the lacking of vanilla and Sicilian orange. Although not initially but after several wearings I noticed the vanilla in Amber Oud Gold as a stand alone fragrance, side by side the differences are likely more noticeable. Wonder if Christian had to make the minor tweaks like making the vanilla more mild and removing orange in the opening for legal purposes so they weren’t copying Xerjoff/or he could of had a contract with Xerjoff to where he couldn’t copy the scent exactly? Who knows lol.

I'll give you an example of how a side by side shocked me at what it revealed. I truly love Gourmands and Vanilla, so I have a wonderful Vanilla by Kyse Perfumes called Bon Bons a la Vanille which is said to smell like Indult Tihota. I agreed for it to be almost 100 percent, up until I wore them side by side! The Peru balsam in the Kyse Vanille smacked me in the face whereas I couldn't really detect it before. So very interesting! My bottle of Amber Oud Gold has been sitting for over a year now, I should try it on it's own again to see if I can now detect any vanilla. Thanks for your commentary, very fascinating!

So funny that I tried Amber Oud Gold again last week and didn’t detect much vanilla. It was more fruity and sweet/synthetic with a fresh shampoo vibe. It was also a cooler 50 degree day as well and I had bad allergies so that could be my nose was off. I tried it again today and about 1 hour half in I get a nice, so soft creamy vanilla in the background mixing with the other sweet fresh notes. Totally different than what I smelt before lol. It’s funny with this fragrance I pick up on different notes every time I wear it. I go anosmic then get strong whiffs of it throughout the day as well. Still strung on getting a full bottle of Ebra Pura or sticking with the Amber Oud Gold which is still so similar and maybe more versatile for summer weather and instead investing that money in other Xerjoff scents. My Loves from the house include Lira, Italica, Erba Pura, Cruz Del Sur II, Dama Bianca, La Capitale and Muse. (Symphonium on my list to buy.) Others I have that I haven't worn as much are Decas, Naxos, 1888, Kobe, Ouverture,Soprano and Bouquet Ideal.

Erba Pura Xerjoff! Buying and disappointing in "inspired by" fragrances learned me one thing - Always go for the original! They are expensive but you'll get from them anything you always wanted from a fragrance.

Tested AOGE yesterday at a nearby store (associate sprayed two sprays on right wrist) and was very Citrus/Fruity with excellent projection for 2 hrs, even though I went noseblind very quickly. Longevity was 18+ hrs on skin and more Feminine leaning with prominence towards Melon, Pineapple, and White Musk. Wearing AOGEE today, which is Woodsy, Resinous, Green Herbal, with slight nuances of Fruit and Musk. Absolutely more Masculine leaning with less projection than AOGE. Longevity undetermined ATM. Had a woman which compared the differences between AOGE and AOGEE, she said “This one (AOGEE) smells like the one you had on yesterday (AOGE), but less powdery and more Woodsy” When I asked which one smelled more Masculine/Feminine she confirmed that AOGE was more Feminine and AOGEE was more Masculine. She also stated that she liked the smell of AOGE better even though she said it was “very strong”
Right on. The dupe Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold smells a lot like the more expensive Xerjoff Urba Pura, however it is not identical. It is a little "stronger" and sharper and also didn't have the vanilla dry down.
Erba Pura was technically released in 2013 under Sospiro. Now all of their fragrances are released through Xerjoff and they released Erba Pura through Xerjoff in 2019. Hope that helps!

I like to mix and match products also to achieve the end effect I'm looking for. For example, Princess by Kilian by Andromeda's Moon is a perfect spot on edp and Oil Perfumery nailed it as well with their roll on oil, so I'd layer both. My most favorite Love Don't be shy combo is my f&k scent-ology argan 9 oil lotion with either the original EDP or the Be Layered dupe Caramel Overdose. So I guess my answer would be individual to each fragrance 😬🤷♀️ Sorry for the novel long explanation but I really do enjoy all my dupes and original collection. 🥰
Hello there, if you can live without the vanilla dry down of the original Xerjoff, then the Amber Oud Gold is perfectly good to purchase. I enjoy both, and found there was no vanilla dry down in the Amber Oud Gold, it's more musky.
I feel like it's surely unisex, it does have a sweet vanilla musk dry down, so if you'd like to skip that then the Amber Oud Gold would be a more masculine leaning option since it dries down to only musk.

@@janelle-scenttalkfrommycloset I just bought al haramain and I'm disappointed because it's a weak perfume, but I was interested because I read everywhere how positively they write about this perfume. it's nice but weak.. erba pura is too strong a perfume and kills in the room as strong as it is. That's why I said Erba pura, so 100 places are empty. erba pura you like or you don't.
@@cocacola5040 I like them both. Erba Pura is a little too much on hotter days for me since the vanilla is really pronounced in the dry down. I like the Al Haramain Gold also because it stays musky for me in the dry down. I don't find it weak luckily, but I have heard of other people having that same experience.
@@janelle-scenttalkfrommycloset sorry for my bad english. al haramain really hit me at first, it smells nice, but I miss the strength after a few hours. . This is the first time I have bought such an Arabic perfume just to try it.
@@cocacola5040 Sorry I didn't understand you!🙃 I have heard it's not very strong for some people, in my experience middle eastern fragrances have all been very strong. Sorry it didn't work out for you.
