Harley-Davidson: King of the Road Arcade

The game is very different from the first one. You no longer have an open map and checkpoints to reach.
First of all players choose their ride from a lineup of motorcycles that can be enjoyed by all players, not just Harley fans, and includes a variety of models from the latest bikes to vintage classics.
Once you've chosen your ride, the race will be also join and started by the mysterious main character, the "King".
Then you need to beat rivals in one to one races and reach the goal within the time limit, the first round is the same for everyone, from the second you'll pick your rival (stage selection).
Every opponent you'll race will have gang of bikers ready to slow you down, which you need to avoid at all cost. There are also hazards as well and in some maps have bumps to jump and traffic to avoid.
You also find coins spread to map, those are used to fill the "Accelerator Gauge" which is this game turbo, the more you collect more powerful and turbo will be. You also collect them after you speed up, to increase it is duration.
When used you are invincible and you can blow up enemies, traffic and also go over some harzards.
Also there is a turbo then you to execute at start of the race to get a head start: Twist the throttle repeatedly and fill the "Start Dash Gauge".
At end of every round the results are shown, this game uses three scoring system: Time, Nice Drivin'! and a Ouch! counter, basically you need to drive perfectly without hitting anything to get the maximum total points.
When all rounds are cleared and a certain amount of points are scored, the player obtains a battle certificate into the Final Round Challenge. The game is won when the player defeats the "King".
The game features several classic 70's rock songs such as “Highway Star” and several original BGM tunes.

Harley-Davidson: King of the Road is a motorcycle racing video game developed by Sega AM1 and published by Sega released for Sega Lindbergh Red EX arcade hardware on February 5, 2009. It is the second Harley-Davidson-inspired arcade game produced by Sega, following 1997's Harley-Davidson & L.A. Riders. The deluxe cabinet has a replica of an Harley Davidson motorcycle and a huge 56 inch Screen and provides a V-Twin experience with realistic motion and movement system. Up to 4 cabinets can be connected and challenge other players to a road trip.

This Harley Davidson arcade game reminds me a bit of Harley Davidson: Race to the Rally. A Harley game that plays kind of like classic Burnout.

I remember playing this in Galactic Circus. I was one time King of the Road for it. I did spend a fair few coins to do it though. I used the Sportster 1200 low to do it.
