Glad that Kelvin pointed out something very important....that 500mb is more than enough for most ppl. In fact, its enough even for 99.9% of the self proclaimed "gamers". It's fundamentally a lack of understanding of bandwidth needs and how internet speed works. Unless you're staying with your extended family, most ppl don't need 1gbps...we should actually hope that the ISPs don't remove the 'lower end' plans.

Do you think I should downgrade my 1GB to 500mb? Is it enough for a family of 5 with 2 pc gamers?

@@kzwky846hink yourself. Will u rather save yourself of headache of worry about speed by spent about $10 more per month. 😂 Or save another $10 per month is impt to u.

@@ustradingdiary !!! I guess its time to let my siblings decide if they are willing to fork out that $10 to play without lag then 🤣

@@kzwky846 unless all 5 are streaming a grand total of 10x 4k videos at the same time, I doubt u need so much. Online games uses alot less bandwidth for the service than you think, a better wifi 6 LE router / direct lan connection / distribution of bandwidth among terminals makes more sense.
Edit: try to get those using singtel lines/terminals, they assign users per terminal and more concurrent lines too resulting in much lesser congestions hence lesser spikes (lag)

View quest 1Gb will charge back to $11 more to the usual price after the 1st year. So is not really $28 because of the 2 years commitment. 😮

Use for 2 yrs terminated immediately. While cheap, it has drawbacks. Every month, they will down the network for 5 -8 hours for maintenance. Sometimes, it doesn't start back despite resetting & u have to call them to reset. Too much hassle. I gave up.

The reason why the current 2 Gbps is 1+1 Gbps is that the current device (ONT) only supports up to 1 Gbps per port. So it will cause millions dollars for existing telecom to upgrade for customers.
Whereby, Simba will as a new developer will benchmark each port to be 2.5Gbpbs.
