Oh you should of seen this one where he lost all engines and wing controls, and was basicly helpless, but landed in a downslope of a mountain and completely stopped,and was basicly fine but was missing a wing

People are blinded how bad the A-10 is compared to modern missiles. We think it’s good because we are going against people with Soviet-Era 1st generation AA missiles
@@The-rw1eq uh you may be correct but A-10 can fly even without 2 halfes of wings so no matter if it will lose half of wing it will still fly

The Warthog plane was actually designed to be as versatile as possible. There are cases of these planes being able to land missing a wing, missing engines, or even missing parts of its tail. A cheap yet deadly fighter jet with easily replaceable parts and easy to fly. Probably some of the best engineering was put into it.
Sounds like it's living up to the thunderbolt legacy.

1:36 tough landing gear you got there! everytime i see something land in besiege the landing gear would ALWAYS spontaneously combust upon landing

Usually human error.
Remember statement this from a documentary series about disasters. They are right about it. Every system has a way to prevent a disaster but it takes a series of small oversights to make one.

The rating x/10 is based on the pilot/co-pilot's skill of landing the plane.
0:00 Nobody on the 737 survived. The Antonov, although the crew surviving the initial collision and crash, died from severe burns. 6/10
1:02 Obviously, the A-10 pilot survived. More obviously, the ground crew did not. 8/10
1:43 The pilot and most of the crew died in the explosion of the missile, the co-pilot managed to correct the heli's course enough for it to slide down the hill resulting in injuries for the remaining crew, with one dying from the flip. 9/10
2:15 The initial explosion killed two and injured 1. The pilots did an outstanding job managing to land the wounded plane with one engine down, the tail damaged, the left wingtip severed and fire all over the aircraft. Only 7 died and 6 got injured from the series of events that followed the missile's impact. 10/10
2:57 Nobody died. The relatively smooth landing and control makes this an 8/10

I know you can only do so much with besieged physics, but in reality, an A10 can lose an engine and keep flying long enough to return home or make another strafing run and THEN go home. Just a lil fun fact

that was not a butter. There were multiple bounces. Also, don't use the fact that there is 1 functional as an excuse, because the Warthog is designed to be operational with only one engine (due to hydraulics being powered by each engine individually, and there was enough speed to perform a more butter landing.)
