another tip to hide marker bleeds: draw on a separate piece of paper and then glue that into your sketchbook - keeps your page count the same and still hides the blobs :)
Sometimes, on the page with bleeds, I like to glue some art I do outside of my sketchbook on there so everything can be in the sketchbook together and it covers the bleeds
4:35 I literally SCREAMED! I get so excited when my country gets mentioned anywhere outside of Bulgarian media! I definitely recommend looking at different places from Bulgaria for inspiration, there are so many pretty locations
@@lucieell the Rila Monastery, Plovdiv Old Town, Old Nessebar, Old Sozopol, any of the churches really, Tsarevets, the sea garden, Plovdiv Roman Theatre, Belogradchik fortress, the Stone Forest & more! As well as any mountains & fields :))
I accidentally came across this video and I have to admit, the sudden random Bulgarian landscape at 4:36 was like a slap in the face lol. a very unexpected but nice surprise, it's my country and I was like *_no_* *_wayyyyy_* 😁 it's a fun video 🌟
This helped me SO much 💖 No matter how long you have been drawing, a blank sketchbook can still be intimidating! (also I relate - cars are some my least favorite things to draw 😅 but now I shall try too hehe)
this motivated me so much. i have an empty sketchbook in my room right now. i was scared to start it because what if I mess up? but after watching you draw, i feel much better. its okay to mess up sometimes :)
this was actually super helpful, particularly the stuff about the first page. I hate just jumping in with a sketchbut never know what to put there, so I leave it blank then get frustrated when i'm finishing my sketchook that the only blank page is the first one. This motiveated me to do a simple but cute design on the first page of my current book that's going to give me peace of mind as I get to the end of it
This was the most entertaining, helpful and inspiring video I saw about starting a new sketchbook. You manage to take out all of the pressure we’re putting on ourselves to make the perfect spread. I love your sketching style as well. I’m so glad I found your channel 😊
I LOVED all the advice! I was actually dissapointed to see you only had 2 videos, I was hoping for more XD. Thanks for the tips, I cant wait to see where your channel goes!
ive watched so many sketch book tips and this one has been the most helpful one for me, thank you so much for this video it is really helpful cant wait to watch more from you!!!!!
This was a delightful collection of sketchbook tips. I have already heard before about most of them, but you have a unique way of explaining that really resonates with me. Thank you. ☘️
i don't normally comment on videos but omg i love your video so much !! your drawings were so comforting to watch and the voiceover was so fun and entertaining that i watched through the whole thing without skipping a single part (which i haven't done in ages cause my attention span is practically non-existent). i haven't owned a sketchbook in a long time - i finished my last one about a year ago and simply never got a new one because i just felt so burnt out with studies, work and moving countries. i do still draw, but mainly on random scraps of paper (receipts from stores are my new favourite thing ahaha). that's not the point. your video was just so,, comforting. it genuinely felt like no matter how i use a sketchbook, it's just for me, only i will see it. i'm going to go buy a new sketchbook right now. i haven't felt this way in ages, but something about your drawings and your voice,, you're so inspirational.
Thank you so much for writing such a lovely comment, I appreciate it so much! It’s such an honor that you watched the entire video and that it inspired you to get a sketchbook! ♥️ I hope you have a lot of fun with it 🥰 and hey, you can also take the random scraps of paper you usually draw on and stick them into the sketchbook, I feel like it’d be so lovely to look back on them in the future! 😁
@@lucieell thank you !! I just got my sketchbook and can't wait to start. ill definitely stick in my scrap drawings, maybe on the backside of any pages that bleed through. but once again, thank you for your lovely video 💖💖
Thank you so much; this really helps. I struggled so much with what to draw in my sketchbook, and I ended up not drawing anything. I'll follow your guide and see where this takes me.
Hi, I'm Brazilian and your video just help me sooo much about stared to draw again, so thank you so much for it. Please post more videos and least keeping drawing, byeee
Ahh you’re way too kind, thank you! ♥️ I believe all artists have these feelings from time to time, but you’re right, we shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves! ♥️
I have a rare money note and I'm planning on pasting it in my sketchbook.I just came back from the main market and brought one. I'm really excited to fill it with all these tips✨
Hey, I love this video! It really helped me, but honestly, I used to draw a lot, but then I stopped because I thought all of my drawings were bad. All I wanted was to create a sketchbook and make drawings like you did, but I stopped for a while. When I came back, I drew like a one-year-old. I just wanted it to be perfect from the first try, and now I don't draw anymore. This video inspired me to make a sketchbook, but I don't know how to do the shading or put different colors to make it look good waiting for your response 💗💗
i just bought the same sketchbook (but I think it's the smaller version? mine is a5 and I guess yours is a4) and I didn't know yours was the same when I clicked on the video, so it took me by suprise! Currently testing all kinds of art supplies and if they work/bleed/whatever on the paper, so far I'm really vibing with how watercolors turn out
I just fold a piece of paper and put it between the pages as I'm using the markers, so if It bleeds it transfers to the piece of paper, not to the next page of the sketchbook, and it works just fine :) btw I love your drawing style and tips!
I've nearly finished my sketchbook and this was really useful! And in my sketchbook, (this won't work for everyone since I use more than one medium) I use acrylics to do a painting on the other side of the marker page
When you get marker bleeds, instead of covering the try to imagine what those blobs of colour could be and draw it. If you want to add more color to it, try not to use markers to avoid damaging the other drawing. Hope this helps 😊
I saw on a tiktok compilation vid that in order to hide ur marker bleeds u can just paint over it with black paints and it works for acrylics, oil paints and I think gouache too but I won't say u should use black watercolors cuz y`know its watercolor!!
So cute!❤️ I absolutely hate my current sketchbook, and really want to start a new one even though I’m not half way done😅 It is so heavy because I stuff all of my school work in there😂
This video is so lovely and helpful ❤️ You’re gona get so many subscribers for sure. Ur page is gorgeous. And ur video skills. I need to get out a book and get on it 🤣
Lol, I was wondering if the randomstreetview would ever show images from my country (Bulgaria) and a few seconds later, you are actually drawing a scene from Bulgaria :D
another tip to hide marker bleeds: draw on a separate piece of paper and then glue that into your sketchbook - keeps your page count the same and still hides the blobs :)
Or, you could put a collage of photos and cutouts on that page to hide the stains!
@@uxvula that's still wasting a page. ;)
@@demi3115 you can put anything in a sketchbook. Not just art ;)
@@demi3115 Another option is to put post it paper in it and be creative with it, it gives you another perspective, I love to do that 💖

Oh I love that! Such a cute way to hide the bleed and keep the doodles and art made on scrap papers 😁
thats what i do! or i use it those spaces to do studies

I hear you complaining about your drawings and I'm thinking they are so beautiful, just so well done I would love to do one quarter as well as you.

You could glue colored paper over the blobs or trace them. You can paint over them, make sticker collages, or use a mixed media sketchbook.
oh hell yeah, that's my favorite sketchbook brand, I've been using it for like 5 years now!
The video is fun yet relaxing to watch! Far from boring. Love to watch more

Everything everywhere all at once is a very complicated, sad, heartbreaking, happy, well done film
I'm so inspired! My sisters can draw but I never felt I had it, but random little sketches sounds less intimidating than one picture
Loved your video and your sketchbook! It's full of colors and I love your work on landscapes! And I totally agree with you on cars 😅

You can use Permapaquae markers or acrylic markers like Posca Markers! I use them! They don’t bleed through the paper!
