What I love about y’all is how you hold both sides accountable. BOTH of you are THE most fair and intellectual reviewers with these shows. I love other channels for their comedic tones when reviewing, but you guys align with who I am as a person and reflect my actual in-depth thoughts about these people on these shows. I really appreciate your channel. Can’t wait to see y’all continue to grow. And Zar, I love your confidence when you speak. You don’t give a damn about seeming like a pick me. Social media has people thinking women with some damn sense is a pick me.
1:29:24 the way Michelle brags about her “lifestyle” and insists on having a “successful” husband… you would think she’s the CEO of her company vs the assistant. All shade intended.
Now I know where Juan gets his investors from he goes on a coffee date. Checks to see if they have any cash flow. He then proceeds to tell them that they have a couple choices of sugar or cream. They can’t get both.🤣🤣. Now I understand why he only drinks coffee on the weekends 🐥🐥🤣🤣
Thomas said on Afterparty, that he was still playing it safe and proper with Camille still and she wants a little more affection. Thomas also said, he is not use to speaking up much from being shy
On Afterparty, Thomas said it was his "mom" the bio dads wife that posted that, not his mom that raised him!! That was a hell of a way to find out he was adopted
Yes. But I also peeped he said he “resembles his dad” so now I’m more confused than ever. Was this a hood adoption? Or did they get raised by another relative? Note the bio mom and adopted mom look alike too.
@itslikekahlua Right! I was looking at the bio mom at the wedding and his mom that raised him... I saw no resemblance! And also did he say before he got married he just met his mom or got close to his mom 7 years ago??! I'm so confused on the background
Yes, Joe, Madison telling David what to do but it is HER, MICHELLE is the problem!! She said ask more questions and her and her own family said, pull back, and shut up basically! Crazy!
Ikechi had a freudian slip when he used "the homie" when describing Emem. The very first thing I thought about Emem even before she married Ikechi, was that she gives heavy masculine energy. Even Emem described herself as a tomboy when she was younger. Joe is right about it triggering Emem because she's likely dealt with the label throughout her dating experience. I think Emem needs to work on nurturing and bringing out her feminine qualities instead of leaning so heavily on her masculine which she clearly has become accustomed to doing over her entire lifetime. If not, she will unintentionally repel Ikechi by the end of the experiment.
Yes!!! 👏🏾👏🏾 her mom culturally and not being affectionate in her upbringing really did affect her, unknowingly. She started dating later than usual and school and career where put 1st before anything else... She was definitely triggered by hearing homie cause she has heard that too many times before
@@joeandzar i was too! He did not clean it up well enough and like you said Zar, REASSURE her that she will not just stay there as "the homie". It was too generic to say, "everyone wants to be friends with their partner"
“Too Nice” is still a thing: I know women who will reject men because they are “too nice”. They’ll call them simps. Or walkovers. And sometimes even question their masculinity and sexual orientation. Because these men are kind, caring and emotionally available. The heart wants what the heart wants, but sometimes what the heart wants is destructive to the soul.
He said what he meant, she is the homie, not we are getting to become, homie lover friends and more. He didn't explain it like, you want to start any relationship being friends and then become more for foundation And yes, Zar they are to new and early to be called homie
David was definitely giving word vomit and dumping a lot of more things at Michelle BUT she did not ask nor did she care to find out more about the things he just told her!!
Karla was definitely LIT on that bus!! Definitely inappropriate and Juan wanted to jump out that window and Camille sitting next to her like girl, enough!
Madison came in as the problem and she a city girl! She not physically attracted to Allen cause if she was she would wear them green glasses and broccoli draws too!
It's definitely NOT A DATE! I call it a meet up! We are MEETING UP for the 1st time that's it. Interview to see if i want to go out on a date with you.
@joeandzar yall really had me thinking... I actually can say i have not been! Yay me!! 😊 And I am a gold card member for Starbucks!! Somebody else please pay for my $10 latte! 😂
Madison LITERALLY deflected and did not answer the question Allen asked her! He said what do i need to work on she follows with dont worry about my happiness, worry about yours! Madison was trippin telling him she would not walk down the street with him with those clothes on!! Girl, you not a Kardashian, if we go by that standard, like get over yourself!
Also, they've shown clips of Michelle calling her friends and family from the honeymoon but not David. She seems more immature and not well adjusted than she's trying to portray him.
Joe, you definitely need to listen to Zarah and take your lead from her. Ikechi just married Emem. He can NEVER in no way refer to her as the Homie. You can't compare your situation as a married man who met, dated, and got to know your wife and now referring to her to your friends who know you both as the homie. It's NOT the same. When talking about these couples, never use your marriage as an example because it's not the same.
My example is precisely the point i was trying to make. If you missed it, thats on you not me: the idea that me emphasizing the friendship aspect of my relationship to someone i’ve known for years is “ok” speaks PRECISELY TO why someone whos only known their spouse for less than a week should be able to do the exact same! anything of the contraire is actually wild lol And we cant have more of an issue with it than she did.
@joeconner33 Joe, when you sign up for a show called Married at First Sight. You are agreeing to skip the dating process everything. This means you should be open for love at first sight, which we see is not the case, starting a family, joint banking accounts the whole thing. The issue is that they keep picking the same troubled people in different bodies. The show should prepare them mentally. Yes, you need to get to know your new spouse, but you elected to skip dating, so you are NOT dating. This is a marriage. Ikechi was rejected in Houston and should have been rejected in Chicago and any other city he tries. We will agree to disagree with the idea of someone who just got married days ago referring to his new wife as the homie. Being in Los Angeles, where that phrase was created, you know exactly what that means. Not the same as ssying, we are growing our friendship and hope to fall in love. You don't call her the homie.
The issue too often with young people is they feel they should have it all by 30 something. By 30 something you are still building yourself. Your current situation Juan is NOT your permanent situation. Juan and his family are overly concerned about money. Your goal as a husband is to take care of your wife and children. You say baby at this time, I am working on our future. Hopefully soon we can take all the trips we can take together. You don’t tell your wife to take trips without you because those trips will be with another man who can take your wife on trips. Juan is too deep in his financial situation to be married. If you are living at home in your patents basement working shifts at 2 different jobs don’t sign up for this show. If you and your family are so concerned about you being broke and yes Juan is broke don’t come on this show. If you are a DL man and your father found out about your lifestyle at 16 and said H NO get out my house with that G $. Don’t come on this show to pretend you are a heterosexual male. You are into men, go get you a man. Ikechi reminds me a lot of Shaq.
@joeandzar My posting was VERY clear and partly vague. I am sure you know who and what I am talking about. Go back and break down that lie told about being kicked out of the house at 16. Who at 16 knows grown men in college who can afford to take care of a 16 year old? We all know college students are broke. You can't take all the stories for face value. If you remember, Shaq has this same setup. An educator and mentor to youg men. Remember his wife Kristen was complaining he was spending more time with his menties and very little time with Her. This show is notorious for having gay men and DL men on the show. The last season had about 3 possible gay men, and 1, I am sure this season. Several seasons ago, they had a red head with a beard, and his wife said he cried for hours after they had sex. All his friends were gay men. In the New Orleans season, the strange guy married the strange woman. They later divorced, and he was in a relationship with a man. I can go on and on. Are you not aware of this? Each season, there are gay men on the show. I suspect 2 possible gay men this season. Sometimes men are afraid to come out to their family, and they do a show like this to prove they're not gay but the show reveals the truth IF you're paying close attention.
We need to talk about Davis race. He is NOT a light skinned black man as she requested. There are light skinned men all over this planet that look like an African American black light skinned man, but those are very different cultures and not anything like an American black light skinned man. David is Latin. Those men are very close with their mothers and often will live at home and think nothing of it because it's their culture. In America. Most black men go to college or get a trade at doing something. Some will go off to get their own place or a roommate or move in with a woman or stay at home. I'm their 20s, but definitely by 36 is out of the house. That's not the same for a Latin man. Not the same as a black African American man.
Dont worry about me, worry about yourself means.... Cuz I aint gonna be here at the end. Like when she met with his mom...get yourself together maam cuz im golng to disappoint you and your son.
