Last year in mid March, I flew United, Boeing 767-400ER from Honolulu to Washington Dulles on my longest domestic flight and the flight is good and okay, 8 and a half hours, but, before takeoff, when the engine start, I smell smoke that is coming from the air vent, but no smoke in the cabin, just from the air vent and we ended up waiting in the taxiway for 10 to 20 minutes to return to the gate to fix the issue for 1 to 2 hours, we stay in the plane until it's fix and we departed 2 hours late and arrive in Dulles at 8am East coast time, instead of 6am and before landing in Dulles, it was bumpy when we approach and land, but everyone on my flight are okay. But my final destination is Columbus, Ohio and for the 1st time, I miss my 8am connecting flight to Columbus, Ohio because my plane from Honolulu to Washington Dulles have a mechnical issue with the air vent because I smell the smoke, but it comes from the air vent, but it was fix 1 to 2 hours later and we departed at 6:30pm Hawaii time instead of 4:30pm and I ended up rebooking my next flight at 10am to Columbus, Ohio and I made it and departed on time, but Dulles is very bumpy before landing and after takeoff and I am not sure why? That time, the weather is partly cloudy skies and I can't remember if there is wind or no wind.
United sends the Boeing 767-300ER from Chicago to Zurich all year round, right? On your 2nd flight, is it operated by the Airbus A319 or A320 and did you sleep on the plane, even though it's a daytime flight? On your 3rd and last flight, what's the seat number?
I've heard from some crew members who have done it & seen their pictures and it looks gorgeous! I will try to do that next time. Thanks for the suggestion 😁😁
Oh wow...I always thought you weren't allowed to bring food from country to country. I know many FA'S have to dump their coolers especially when on reserve and they didn't know where they were going. The "L" word Leinsamen as you found out is flaxseed or the word more often used back in the day Linseed!
There are certain things we cannot bring going into the US such as fresh fruit or vegetables. I never bring those (if I buy them, I consume them on the plane or at my layover). I claim any other food I bring such as the cheese 😄 we are allowed to bring it through though!
very picturesque destination , I thought you did a good job with polishing your shoe. great legroom in Economy not as compact compared to other Boeing 767's. did you eat any Swiss Food?

It kind of depends on what kind of 4 day trip I work, but it's definitely less flights for more money compared to a 4 day! Sometimes my 4 days can be 25+ hours though which is more than I get from a 3-4 day INTL trip out of ORD. I am half Japanese half Chinese but born & raised in the US 😊 my whole family lives in CA which is where I grew up.

Nice video. I stayed in Zurich a few years ago. If you saw a hotel with a big cow out in front of it, that was where I stayed. 😊

On a future trip consider taking a train up into the mountains. Interlaken is not far away and you could take a day trip there.

When I applied, they didn't have any height requirements or restrictions. It differs by airline and time of application though.
