I hope that this will inspire you to get started, to trust that you can also start a business and be good at it. The life of one stream of income is no longer viable in this economy.

I think when I launched this business I did not have a clear idea of whom my target audience is, and as a result selling did become a challenge.

1. I would say you can’t sell something that you don’t use, if you decide to start a product base business you must be the face of it as well. It’s easy to talk about something you are using and works for you. Getting compliments from people about my hair gave me the idea of starting the business.
2. I bought Raw Shea Butter, then I mix it with oils.
3. You can start a business and trust me, it does not have to be fancy, so long as it’s good people will appreciate that.
4. When I started the business I was buying oils from retail shops and mixing them, but it was costing me a lot. So now source oils and Shea butter from distributors.

No I did not, I am only going to register this year. Someone told me to register it once I am really sure. So I have been dragging my feet but I have to now because it will help for tax purposes since I have spent money towards the business. If you are sure about everything, I would say just register it and get a separate bank account.

But really your business will really succeed if you start your own hair extension business or wig business because women are more obsessed with weave more than their real natural hair because wigs and hair extensions make them look more attractive and more grown up. I am a natural woman, I wear braids, but if you start your own wig business you will have more sales and more customers because women don't like their natural hair they like wigs and hair extensions even there kids wear weave and love weave more than their regular short hair.
I am a pro-believer that you must sell something you use and know the value of because talking about it is easy. I don’t wear weaves do not know a thing about it. I don’t think I would have done great in that business. But yona on its own it is a great business with good money, just not my thing.
The weave business is oversaturated. Every other person is doing it, and success depends heavily on your location.
@@JennNxumalo It's not my thing either. I don't wear weave myself. I also don't wear fake eyelashes, or the fake nails but that's what most women love my mom had five girls and one boy I am the 6th child and out of all her five girls I am the only one that is natural my sister's wear weave. But just like I said weave business will make you more successful than creating your own natural hair products.

Hi! I did not get them tested mainly because I used natural oils and raw shea butter. But before I sold them I used them on my hair. I did not register the business because I was still testing and was not sure if I will continue with it or the name.

Hi! I did a video which is more recent than this one sharing that I closed this part of my business. I used to buy my oils through Amazon that was before the pandemic. But you can check on Instagram, Facebook, and Google for suppliers of oils and Shea butter.

Hi! Nomvula, the barcode is important if you will have your products in the retail shop and you will need to register for it. Otherwise if you are going to sell the products yourself you don’t need a barcode, you can use a dummy one.
Would you say 3000-4000 is more than enough to start ?
I am not sure about the amounts because that varies from business to business and the cost associated to it. But if you are sure and serious about the business making a big investment makes sense.
