Nice video. Lots of great tips. Condolences on your loss of Pedro. It's very nice that you are considerate and turn your taillights and marker lights off when they may disturb your neighbors. It seems like there are now so many campers that leave their cap, marker, and taillights on all day and all night with virtually no consideration for those around them.
Condolences Pedro. Hope you guys are doing well. Checking wet bolts is a game changer. Thank you for sharing. Video on tips and tricks looking forward to the next one
Yeah, we just bought a 2023 Jayco North Point last year and we tow it from the PNW to NC, and from NC back to the PNW by the way of Vegas, and we have another long trip coming up here soon so what I'm doing now is to grease all of my wet bolts because I haven't done it since we drove about 9K miles. I got underneath to do it and I broken one of the fitting off so now I need to replace one of the grease fit and which I have the tools to do that now, but I find out that some of the bolts didn't take any grease, so I figure two things, one, that it didn't need it and two, none is getting into the bolts, what I have find out through one of the forums you suppose to jack up it to take the pressure off and then you will be able to put grease in but I have to do that for sure. Enjoy your tips and tricks even though I don't have a Brinkley but it still appy.
Wow! Glad we could help. I hadn’t heard about having to jack it up first it to accept grease! I have one that won’t take any grease. I might try the jacking trick and see if that helps. Thank you for watching and for your comment!
@chasing70degrees23 We have the same issue on 2 of our bolts. Not really jack up, but use the stabilizer to raise a side of 5er & take some weight off the connection.
These are some great tips, especially the Starlink switch. Please accept my condolences; Pedro will be remembered. Safe travels, Jackie and Ross.👍🏾❤️🙏🏾
Thanks guys, lots to unpack there, a bunch of things i never thought of to. Greasing those zerk fittings, was that even mentioned in the handover,, Im guessing not
#815 here. Just return from a two-day trip at a local campsite to get the bugs worked out. Lot of great tips you guys have. I did not know that the 50 amp cord reel had a bypass to manually pull it out I have to look at that. I hit the switch and let it unreal itself automatically. Great tip Also when you put your curtain rod up in the back how did you get up to the Black box did you take the beds out or is there room to get up there. Reason I'm asking cuz I think my low limit switch on my Happy Jack's has come loose or something because they will go up but won't come down. Looks like it's a tight fit to get in there even with the beds and the Happy Jack's mainly drop to the bottom is this the case. Any tips to get up to that black box. Also like the idea of putting the water pressure regulator in the wet bay. Not only would it is keep it from freezing as you said but I would think it would keep you from leaving it screwed into the water pedestal at a campsite lol. Mike
So much to unpack! First of all thank you for watching! About the cord reel. You should always free spool out a winch/reel. It will burn up the motor otherwise. There is a blue knob on the left side. Turn it a half a turn and it will release the reel. When you want to reel it in just turn it again and slowly rotate the reel till it locks back in. The curtains we installed by dropping the bed down so I could sit on the bed. If you can get up there it’s pretty easy from that working point.

If I understand your question correctly…the Brinkley hose comes into the RV through an internal reel. That reel then has an output hose that comes out and hooks to your city water intake port. I just put the meter and regulator between the reel output and the city water intake.
