I'm shocked Smees in the evil category. He's actually a pretty decent person in hindsight. He didn't hurt anyone or even meant to do any harm whatsoever, not even to his tormentors. Sure, he was loyal to Hook, but only to an extent, and comforted and protected him when he was down or threatened by the creatures that tried to eat him. That's a genuinely good deed in my book. Hey, even villains need love too!!

@@King17sHell Honestly I don't think Hook should be considered a villain because of how he's been abused by Peter, but for these scripts we kinda have to go by how the character is presented in the material for much of the ranking. Unfortunately Disney sees Hook as the bad guy so that's what we're stuck with

Time to defend my boy!
The first time in the film where we see Peter antagonise Hook was when he and the Darlings first arrived to Neverland. The kids were just chilling on the cloud before Hook had a cannon fire at them. Peter had to toss Michael away to safety so the boy didn't become meat chunks and still threw himself over Wendy & John to protect them. Hook shot at him first.
Peter then went and antagonised Hook. BUT THE REASON FOR THAT was so that he could buy time for the Darlings to get to safety!
The 2nd time Peter & Hook met up again, Hook had kidnapped Tiger Lily and Peter had to rescue her. Peter didn’t engage in a fight UNTIL Hook was literally behind him about to lob his head off. He seemed perfectly content to trick Smee into taking Tiger Lily back home rather than to fight Hook. Yeah, he did forget about Tiger Lily after the fight, but I think that was more him coming down from an adrenaline high.
And, now the Peter & Hook confrontation. Hook had:
-Blown up Peter's home (almost killing Tinkerbell in the process)
-Kidnapped Wendy & the boys and forced them into a hard life or death situation.
Of fucking COURSE PETER WOULD FUCKING CONFRONT HIM FOR ALL THAT! I would too if all that had to happen to me.
So the score for instigations from the first movie alone is
Peter Pan 0-3 Captain Hook
If I was Hook and supposedly as smart as people say he is, I would've just cut my losses and leave Neverland (and before anyone says anything but them not being able to leave- they can leave. Smee talks about it all the time, there are other islands but Hook is OBSESSED with Peter, he refuses to leave until Peter is dead). Screw the Hand thing, we don't even know half the context OR even the situation that led to it. For all we know, the hand chop could've been a retaliation against something Hook did, or a prank that went much further than what Peter intended. And what was he supposed to do with the hand? Keep it? Thats more fucked up than throwing it to the croc. And what if he didnt throw it, maybe he dropped it? There's so much things we don't know about the situation that putting the blame solely on Peter, after literally seeing how obsessed Hook can get, seems nonsensical and- depending on how Disney would've gone about that situation- potentially victim-blamey.
Also, as a last minute note- regarding OP saying Peter did nothing to Tinkerbell for almost killing Wendy. HE BANISED HER! And he was going banish her permanently had Wendy not stepped in and pleaded that he not be too hard on her. Even still, she was banned from his home for a week for her murder attempt. Peter was being reasonable, especially considering Wendy was gonna stay with him in his home. It was best that he put distance between Tinkerbell and Wendy. How else could he have punished her? Kill her? That would've made him worse. And he knew Tink wouldn't apologise, so he had banished as punishment.
Peter is a very flawed, very grey character yes. But I think it gets understated just how much good is actually in Peter Pan. He's a good kid, hes just immature- like most 12 year olds would be. I think at least he should be below the Lost Boys.

As an adult, I now understand why Captain Hook hated Peter Pan. He cut off his hand for one thing, then proceeded to feed it to a crocodile. Hence the reason why the crocodile was always stalking Hook. But nonetheless, Peter was just straight-up annoying and immature! He tormented Hook for sometimes no reason at all. And led a colony consisting of more immature brats. I would've tried to kill him my damn self.

He may have taken credit for killing a shark and lied to everyone about it, but he did manage to defeat Don Lino using the whale washing machine, confess the truth, reunites Lenny with Lino and brought peace to Reef City in the end, even if it wasn't exactly his main intention or first choice. He also has good intentions in continuing his dad's legacy in the Whale Wash. Oscar also gave Angie her grandmother's pearl back to her, showing how much he appreciates her.
While Oscar has some of the typical flaws of a wannabe celebrity, like immaturity, egotism and impulsiveness, he has grown into a more compassionate, courageous and honest person. I would give him extra good points for forsaking his wealth to give his homeless friend Crazy Joe a home to live in the end.

@@elichernykh6181 But he did keep his promise of protecting the entire city. The only reason I didn't rank him any higher is because he lied to everyone and committed fraud, which is awful. But he did manage to take down the leader of the shark mafia and save Angie from him, which proves his heroism.
Fun fact:Wendy’s actress was also Alice from Alice in wonderland. She was 10 in Alice in wonderland while in Peter Pan she was like 14 to 15. She’s still alive. Her name is Kathryn Beaumont.

Is strange how Wendy’s father is ranked worst than Peter Pan. I mean Peter Pan kidnapped children without any regard for their parents. He literally cut off Hook’s hand and he use it to feed a crocodile.
Technically, according to the original story, the Lost Boys were babies abandoned by their parents, who if not claimed by a human within a week, get taken to Neverland. Peter did them a favour. And because we lack a lot of context of HOW Hook & Peter even met and what led to the hand being chopped off, we don't even know if Peter can fully be to blamed.
Tinkerbell actually did try to kill Jane during the scene were peter shows Jane around the island
So wendy goes to neverland cause of peter and not growing up and after almost being splashed by mermaids and being pissed peter was kissed by tiger lilly she guilt trips the others to go home and just gives up on life when forced to walk the plank

Peter Pan:
Goodness: cares about his friends, is honorable
Evilness: loves tormenting Hook way too much, has no qualms with dismemberment, and takes being a mischievous child way too far.

Sympathetic or redeeming qualities: he at least had the heart to give the followers of his tormentor a chance to live, Hook is understandably frustrated with Peter's shenanigans, he never attacks his minions unless he's about to explode in a rage which is more frequently thanks to Peter Pan.

I would say that peter pan and Tinkerbell and jane are probably neutral because peter pan cut off hooks hand and fed it to a crocodile and defended the mermaids instead of defending Wendy when the mermaids tried to drown her and Tinkerbell tried to pull Wendy's hair and have her killed and jane acted bratty but she also brought socks home for Daniel and rescued peter pan from hook and stood up to Captain hook and peter pan also saved children from the worst thing ever growing up and defeated captain hook and protected Neverland and punished Tinkerbell for trying to have Wendy killed and Tinkerbell also saved peter pan from the bomb and jane also saved peter pan from captain hook and his crew
