“They shown 2 bros attacks”
There’s 3 actually
yeah sorry I meant 2 at the beginning LOL
we actually know of 4 since they confirmed green shell is coming back and it’ll work slightly differently from the red shell
@@MysticSlimeI think they'll bring back Luigi's electric abilities, like how Mario uses fire on the red shell Luigi will use a electric green shell.
Also I think that the game takes place after superstar and before partners in time, explaining why it looks like advanced bros attacks and tandem moves are there and starlow isn't present.
But that's just a theory, a game theory
@@MysticSlimeThere is an image that was found that shows Luigi kicking the green shell similar to how Mario kicks the red shell during the last moments of the trailer. It was posted on the Mario and Luigi subreddit with other images found
@@litten4561 i was hoping the same, but in the screenshot the green shell is covered in green flames
I feel like this is just how the normal attacks will be by default, and it’s part of the “brothership” theme
Honestly I’d be surprised if they mix the Advanced Bros attacks with the item bros attacks.
I actually think that the way Mario and Luigi runs in the first one makes me think, what if these are first strike attacks? As in starting a fight by hitting an enemy with a jump or a hammer. It would make sense why Mario would perform these as well since he is generally in the lead.
I forgot what channel I was watching for a moment. So used to your Undertale content, lol.
Hmmm. A non-UNDERTALE vid. Sounds interesting. About Mario… Mario & Luigi no less. I like it
I'm holding out hope that Brothership will be multi-player compatible. It's not exactly the point of a Mario and Luigi game, but it would be cool nonetheless.
dude that would be awesome, a friend and I have played the games “multiplayer” with 1 button each and its a fun time
@@MysticSlimeDUDE! I know no body question my, but Im literaly did the same thing with my brother and yes is very funny
While cool in concept, I don’t think it’s co-op. Since Luigi is controlled by the B button in the same Joy-con/Controller, it’s nigh impossible.
I'm sorry to say that in Nintendo's page I think it says it's only 1 player mode @@MysticSlime
At some point in the trailer, Luigi is moving independently from Mario Which I know this is gonna be sounding weird for A mario and Luigi game But imagine a multiplayer mode Personally, I think it would work really well.
I can't wait to write "aged perfectly" here
I hope you are right, Pepperman
Every single Mario and Luigi game has that feature tho. You can move him by pressing B after being separated from Mario.
It’s not a new feature.
you know stuff's about to go crazy when you hear vsauce music in a MYSTIC SLIME VIDEO WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
I love superstar saga
I played that game on my ds before it broke and I’m so happy that they are making a new Mario & Luigi game
I was thinking that too. If they did make the regular attacks like the OG bros moves then that would give more credance to using them. Especially in boss fighters where it's usually not work it to waste a turn on a regular attack.
This trailer clearly alludes to the theory that mario and luigi are nes from earthbound split in two🤔
The L on luigis hat actually stands for Lucas!!! Believe me guys my uncle works for nintend
I was thinking maybe they have similar versions of Bros. Attacks from each previous installment. The moves shown in this video are 'similar' to Bounce and Knockback respectively.
Jump and hammer might have a lot of extra moves now! Or they replaced the basic attacks entirely.
I actually thought of the same thing, especially with the part where Luigi is like getting an idea, which he does in Superstar Saga for this exact mechanic
nintendo you better be listenin'
reminds me of how the babies upgraded the adult bros' regular jump and hammer moves
I mean having at the end of the trailer the mythical Koopa shell team attack really shows that probably were better versions of the basic attacks
Holding on to the idea that Mario and Luigi have done the Jump/Hammer attacks so many times that they've already advanced those moves at the start of the game.
For what it’s worth, after the hammer move, a pop up saying “Kaboom Attack” shows up before a big explosion happens, so make of that what you will.
Bro just didn’t talk about echoes of wisdom
For me, it’s something that happens with Jump and Hammer but only if both Bros are up.
Since brotherhood is the main focus outside of a boat, maybe the standard attacks also are nerfed if a brother is down.
Great video, great analysis! Hope it is what you’re thinking, cause this would be sick as hell
I hope that if they do do something like this, they do it like in the original rather than the remake
Vsauce moment.
I would love that, not only would encourage people to use the normal attack a lot more it looks fun to play.
I doubt they'd change the basic attacks from how they've always been for one simple reason:
The inputs are _supposed_ to be easy to pull off, changing the action to be more complex means changing the input to be either more complex or less intuitive
the game is called "brothership" so these are just the normal attacks lmao
I was imagining there'd be a co-op mode and you can choose to do normal attacks with a friend for boosted damage
Also something else
When Mario does the hammer it says “kaboom attack” and I thought that maybe you need specific kinds of attacks for certain enemies like for example maybe a spiky enemy is immune to jump attacks
Literally that's the Brothership mechanic in which bros collaborate to make stronger attacks
it could just be normal attacks bc the game focuses more on both of the brothers(or it could be the extra block we see in the battle menu and the outlets at the bottom of the screen(in a battle))
These are probably just the base attacks though. That was my first thought when I saw these. Not flashy enough for bro moves and they look simple enough to where they are normal attacks
"I have a theory" ahh video
What could be interesting is what if instead these are abilities to use one bros turn to power up the other bros attack? Cause it looks like having luigi join in is almoat optional. Maybe you can press the button for Luigi and have him use up his turn to make Mario's attacks hit much harder instead and vice versus?
I feel like it may just be normal Bros. Attacks
If you look at SS, you can tell that the Bros. Attacks were a lot faster, and just used techniques the bros learned instead of items
It would make sense for the starting Bros. Attacks to just be buffed versions of the hammer and jump, and then add the items in later
I actually have a pretty interesting idea for it. since we don't see any "normal" basic attacks, what if it depends on whether or not both of the bros are alive or present? we never see either of them downed, so what if it was only one of them there, they revert back to what we'd normally see from basic attacks? it's incredibly unlikely they take this route but I like thinking about niche possibilities like this
I mean assuming these are normal attacks then this seems like the only possible thing they could do when a bro isn’t present
Man i would like that this game had like a local multiplayer to play the story in coop or do another things than just playing the story
The first attack one is a reference to the bros attacks from the older games on the DS. "Dream Team" being one of them I think.
Aaand he already said so.
Neat
Personally i think they will work like bros attacks from most games (cost BP, learned from a story event or by collecting puzzle pieces) but the red Shell will actually work like bros attacks did in partners in time (being items instead of learned moves). Maybe they whould also he stronger then the regular bros moves but harder to come by, and thats why the regular attacks are used against regulat enemies in the trailer while the shell is used on a boss, though thats probably just me overthinking
I don’t think they’ll implement the Partners in Time Bros. Attacks System.
@@leonmystique9372 um okay? I was just saying something i thought was possible. If your gonna disagree at least give a reason lol
@@finnvaneekelen7740 Since Bowser’s Inside Story. Like the reason why those attacks didn’t work because they are limited to use collectibles than just using Bros. Points or Special Points.
At least with BP or SP, you can just keep replenishing BP or SP to use Bros. Attacks. Even Alphadream knows that worked a whole lot better.
@@leonmystique9372 okay but the problem with the PIT system is that the item system was the only bros attacks. If theirs weaker bros attacks you can use with BP and heavier hitting more limited items that problem dissapears. Especiallh since the red shell in the trailer is flashier then even the strongest bros attacks from previous games. Again im not saying this is something that will happen im just saying it could
@@finnvaneekelen7740 That’s only ONE bros. attack. I haven’t seen the Fire Flower or the other Bros. Attacks yet. It will be as flashy if not flashier than that Red Shell.
Also if we’re going for that system, it’s an inconsistent setup and people will say “Why are these limited when we can just supply ourselves with SP-restore items and use it infinitely with SP.”
I just hope we will finally have an m&l game with more than 2 gamefiles
I love the superstar saga vibes in this game
Well I thought on the spot that was just the normal jump&hammer attacks. The ones you have from the start. The reason is that the only Mario&Luigi game I've ever played was Parters in Time, and that game (with out upgrades) just does double jumps and although it's quite different from what we see in Brothership, does a stronger hammer attacks with their respective baby. And I just thought 'oh hey it has double jumps and power hammer attacks just like PiT'.
Well I guess it'll probably be called the 'switch' system
My take is that they're giving back both ITEM bros attacks and ACTUAL bros attacks and that is sick. Just sick.
Maybe there are actually 3 types of attacks .
Normal attacks , Bros. attacks just like from SS and those Attack items from PiT
Mario: **about to smack an enemy**
Luigi: **tries to murder mario**
**Ends up helping him**
But hey THATS MERELY A THEORY OF GAMES
think this is just a normal attack bc the theme of this game is that they really good brothers and helping each other out (they literally created a portal bc mario helped luigi) and they showed the red shell attack but it would be really cool if the advance moves would comeback
We'll find out soon.
Can I say we live in a good timeline... Minus other stuff
While I think the Jump and Hammer will always be like this as the game specific gymmick, I would be so amazed if the basic Jump and Hammer upgrades throughout the game, starting as the one we all know, then becoming these amplified versions, then perhaps improving into a final variant that negates enemy immunity, a jump that surpasses spikes and a hammer that hits flying, for example.
Luigi steps to aid his brother
Fun Fact: We waited longer for a New Super Mario Bros. Game than a new Mario & Luigi game. Is what I would say if Paper Jam existed, but it doesn't. (10 years between Luigi U and Wonder)
When this game finally will come out i will use some bros attacks with my older brother and we will use them when my younger brother will gonna annoy us when we will be cleaning the house
I actually was thinking about this beforehand lol
I’m actually way excited for this one
Maybe that the normal ones, where they are both Alive, and then if One of them goes down, they do a " normal One "
I forget do we see the normal versions of these attacks in the trailer? Because I think it’s possible these could replace those moves entirely to reaffirm the fact Mario & Luigi are brothers and help each other out. It also might mean we only attack once with both bros per turn to make battles quicker but I could be stretching it.
In every past game despite bros attacks having both bros do it. It still only uses ones turn and changing that in this game for normal bros attacks or whatever these special moves are if these aren’t bros attacks wouldn’t make sence
Have you noticed that in the japanese trailer the hammer attack shows a lucky strike
I just realized it kinda looks like a deltarune fight
WAIT A MINUTE
It was not a normal hammer attack because that would be over power
you are a genius
I was actually thinking something similar to this
orrr you unlock or get to learn these moves
Since Superstar Saga was on GBA with Advance moves, what if they're Switch moves for the switch
Or its multiplayer becuse when they were on the seesaw they moved sepretly/other directions
What if it's hinting towards coop
Oh Yeah! :D
I cant wait for them to call it something bland like “charged attacks” or something like that. (I’m being sarcastic, please don’t actually do that, Nintendo.)
Its a pun...
What about the bros. Items like the 3d red shell
Were is sans
I'm excited
You like Undertale AND the Mario and Luigi RPG series? I wish I could double sub... Oh wait, I can! I have an alternate account. Hold on, I need to find it.
You sound a lot like mysticslime
I doubt this is true but I heard that they are gonna make it 2 player or something idk. I just wanted to fact check it here to see the truth
No sans? 💀💀❌❌❌
WAIT THERES A NEW MARIO AND LUIGI GAME COMING OUT!!!!!!! Oh my GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
yeah just a normal comment
Or 2 player?
The game ain‘t even out and yall complainin already. Dude let the game first come out like what the fuck
Or what if Mario is just doing a hammer attack and Luigi just comes up and hits him as a prank, then they realize it’s actually a good idea
What about mrbeast
Thing is, this looks VERY similar to how they would do basic jump and hammer attacks in Partners in time. Mario and luigi doing essentially double damage with their baby counterparts. This feels similar to that and not just bros attacks
Honestly these seem more similar to the regular attacks in Partners in time, where they're just standard attacks if you do them normally but you can press X and Y to use baby Mario and Baby Luigi to do more damage if you want to, except that here, you can do that with the two bros alone.
There is that one part where Luigi is covering the screen thinking, and then an exclamation point shows up. It immediately reminded me of what mario does when he learns an advance move, thinking for a second before ‘Advance!’
👀👀👀👀👀
Luigi does that too in the old game
That’s probably tied directly to the part where they are playing a mini game where Luigi gets the idea of what to do and the minigame is the solution or something like that
Actually I think that’s just letting the player know that Luigi will be able to perform a specific action.
Like, it’s context-sensitive. The symbol appears multiple times and it’s usually when Luigi is doing something seperate from Mario.
Like the see-saw platform, it looks like Luigi was told to stand on the opposite end, and the symbol appeared just before that, presumably to order Luigi to do that.
