  • Fifty years ago this week the Sydney Opera House was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth
    Gough Whitlam was still Prime Minister, Australians still stood for God Save The Queen and we were only just starting to emerge from a cultural cringe that had seen so many of our artists head overseas.
