he's the probably the most 'ordinary' young actor... his instagram is not glamorous like others' and he goes to press conferences with his bed hair.. he's so real that he has a special place in my heart
"I didn't allow acting to take over my whole life, and making it out to be the sole purpose of getting up in the morning." I think this is what makes Asa Butterfield different from other actors out there. He picks his roles carefully, I've seen almost all his main role movies and I could say everything has a lesson on it. Not 'ok let's have all the roles to be famous'. I was a little surprise though on his role as Otis in "Sex Education", since all his roles are so innocent, but since he is my favorite actor, I watched it and to my surprise he's perfect for the role and made the whole TV show wholesome. I hope more people will notice him.
Ohhh I'd never thought of it before but I totally agree!!!! Wow I think Asa is more similar to the Harry that I imagined in my head when I read the book
Great words and in one sentence sums up much of what is wrong with youth actors today. He didn't make acting his whole life. He's not flashy, he's down to earth and seems like an average guy seeing acting as a job he appreciates having, not as a reason to be flashy or vain or arrogant. Some of these celebs act like they're God's greatest gift to the earth. He doesn't see himself as superior to anybody else. And that's a breath of fresh air with all the entitlement mentality going on. He was raised right for sure.
Terrific young actor, liked everything he's done so far and he was superb in X + Y especially. Want to watch Journey's End with him and Paul Bettany though I hear its a tough watch.
I wish nobody knew him...except me ❤️🧡😂 He is always so calm, clever and brilliant. He seems to know how to keep himself in the pretentious hollywood industry.

yeah,he is a perfect as Otis Milburn
The way he acted as Otis in sex education when Maeve told Otis she liked him was outstanding👏👏👏
If Daniel Radcliffe hadn’t existed, and Asa was born just a few years earlier, he would of made a great Harry Potter
Keep in mind they are two very different actors, it is definitely a possibility, however, asa butterfield would have made a quality Harry Potter
But you also have to recognize that if asa had been born earlier, he wouldn't be Ender Wiggin

Asa’s definitely such a wise and incredible actor. I love him and his shows so much.
Gosh I love his British accent, why do all the directors ask him to speak American accent🌚
300 million xenophobic Americans to sell movies to.
@@tdk3654 that is sadly accurate
Hats off man.. I salute you too.
I find such comfort and peace listening to his deep and slow voice. Both his and of Harry Styles 🥰

Also had the same thought, lol
He looks just like Bud Cort. If they ever made a sequel to Harold and Maud they should cast him as Harold.
