Great Stuff. I am a 55 year old born again Christian and discovered Sis Marilyn's lovely Songs and music as a new Christian in 1987 as a University Undergraduate in Nigeria. I was searching for one of my favourite tunes of hers "All I Ever Do Is Love You" on TH-cam this afternoon and came across this. What a blessing. Thanks for sharing.
I grew up with her songs too!… still singing it till date because she’s my favorite and considered a friend ( I grew up indoors, her songs were my only company, and that’s why I am still deeply into it.

We all in the church need to open up to each individual and, like you, see people with the heart! We are all called to do that!And it is the most exiting life we get by reaching out to people we don't know.We should ask ourselves when we go to church etc.: "Who is a stranger here- or who seems isolated and go to them first!" Then we may not have much time for the ones we know best, but this is what God wants from us. Loving others as ourselves is love in action! I want to thank you,Marilyn Baker, for being a tremendous comfort and blessing to me since I got introduced to your music and wonderful texts when I moved far to another part of my country to a Christian College where I knew nobody on beforehand in 1979!. We, the first students, who graduated from this Christian College, just resently had a lovely 40-year anniversary union!- Thanks to wonderful people and a great blessing from Jesus! -Loneliness is a human condition for all of us sometimes, but like you say, Jesus can break our loneliness and brokenness and give us strength to help others in loneliness/ need.We are all in need of help and salvation- and of Jesus love and that of other people. Could someone tell Marilyn Baker that when I was a youth of 15 years, I used to constantly sing her songs and teach others her songs because they had such a huge impact on me. Marilyn, you yourself are a massive inspiration to me - not 'despite' your blindness but 'because' of it. Your positive attitude and cheerful demeanour is a sermon in itself. You could have become bitter with God. Instead, you love Him so much! Marilyn, I am 50 years now and the pastor of a church; but I am still being taught by you. Thank you so much for being a vessel in God's hands! God bless you!
I wear glasses, have pigmentary glaucoma and I just discovered Marilyn Baker about a month ago here on TH-cam, while looking for happy songs. This interview was very interesting and I learned new things about the oxygen, didn't know that, and how to engage the blind in conversation. Thank you for the interview.
Maryln Baker's songs have been tremendously inspirational to me over the years in my walk with God, and I encourage every true Christian ✝️ to Google her songs, sit back and feast on those wonderful words from God's word through Maryln Baker's testimonies and songs, they are indeed heavenly songs.
Now why don't you have more people like Marilyn to interview? Full of chat, interesting, explaining herself well. Very enjoyable interview! Good point Marilyn, even for those with a degree of sight need verbal feedback, possibly of a different kind. Good connection is all important, but also we are not all the same, Just because we have a 'disability', (sight loss) just like people with 'no disability' we have different likes and dislikes and different responses to those around us!
So love this lady, her humility yet amazing skill with melodies and lyrics that have opened up hearts to the Gospel. She impacted me hugely in early 90’s at Spring Harvest as a new Christian and am so grateful to the Lord for her xxx

We met Marilyn at Crowhurst when my husband was leading a weekend. Such a lovely humble, funny and natural person. So good to hear her again.
