I grew up listening to Ricky Van Shelton in the 70's and have never stopped. He is always my favorite country star. No one else can sing like him, such a beautiful voice. The old country music will never go out of style. Ricky Van Shelton needs to make a comeback.
Ricky is, and always will be, my favorite male singer. I was so impressed with his decision to get off of the road to get a hold on his demons and save his marriage. Not many men that I've ever known would have done that.
These new comers think they are singing country they are no way singing country they could take lesson,s from Ricky van Shelton i,m glad I finally found him on the network I think he is a fantastic singer he will be missed for I really miss hearing him.
oh my goodness how I miss Ricky Van and his beautiful voice,..thanks for sharing Bettye, not only this song but thanks for sharing Ricky with us for so many years...we "Missouri Girls" have such fun memories, we still talk and laugh about our travels across this country to see RVS!! love you both thanks for the memories
That voice! Don't know the musical terms to describe it, but for me, SO beautiful, so clear, so easy on my ears, I could listen forever. Saw him once: Bear Creek Park, Harris Co. Texas. My 15 year old son was a tall, big guy for his age. He led me thru the crowd,( excuse us,mam; excuse us, sir) all the way to the stage. We stood, looking up and under the brim of Ricky's hat, his smiling face, and those beautiful blue eyes. That was late 80's, maybe, 90. All these years later, that 15 year old boy; plays guitar, has written a song for his mom, and sings, about the day that Ricky Van Shelton showed him what he wanted to do for life. My son played the club's and bars for several years. Now, like Ricky, he plays for his church family, doing a local benefit, from time to time. Today, his wife and their 15 year old son, sing and play in church, also. I am forever grateful, and even more, love RVS! Thank you, Ricky; from Brad's mom.
Thank you for sharing Bettye .So glad I got to attend one of his concerts . Besides Merle Haggard .Ricky is my favorite country singer . God bless you both .❤️
Don't ever stop making music... the industry may be a bunch of BS but the love of making music and leaving it for future generations to enjoy trumps it all... Record, record, record!
What a touching tune. Even though Ricky is retired, I do wish he would consider releasing some collections of rarities and unreleased material, live shows, and remastered rereleases especially the hard to acquire masterpiece "Making Plans"
I'm really enjoying the original songs written by Ricky. His song writing is awe-inspiring, what a phenomenal talent he has been gifted with!! Does Ricky still write songs? xx (🇨🇦)
