  • Want a powerful 3 Octave Range? Then this video is for you!
In this video, I walk you through, step-by-step, how to take your range to 3 octaves!
Integrate this warm-up into your daily warm-up. With just a few minutes each day, you will teach your voice how to move higher and lower with ease. This will help you to condition the voice to access this range on a regular basis so it’s there for you in your songs.
If you only work on your high notes ...your lower range gets weaker. If you only sing in your low range... your higher range never develops. This warm-up will help you have access to ALL of your range.
I want you to do this warm-up along with me… but first, six very important variables that you can play with along with me and in future practice sessions.
    1. Start in the middle of your range and work slowly up and down. Going a little higher and lower each time.
    2. Play with the volume. If zero is silence and ten is your loudest sound, play with varying the volume. As you are warming up through your three octaves ask yourself what does level five volume feel like? Would level eight feel better on the high notes? Maybe if I shifted to three or four volume I may find more ease in the lower range.
    3. Play with different vowels. I will demo some that feel good to me and I’ll make some suggestions, but you can choose different vowels that feel best to you.
    4. Play with different consonant and vowel combos.
    5. Play with direction. Start in the middle of your range, pick a note and sing that pitch, and continue moving down in pitch. Or, start in the middle of your range, sing that note and then continue moving up in pitch.
    6. Play with speed.
Have fun with this. Feel your way through these warm-ups. Take a few minutes each day to build flexibility and coordination. You got this!

Thank you, Rahul! I appreciate your kind words. Great that you are exploring vibrato. I wish I had a concrete answer for you around time but I don't. Everybody is so different. I have had some clients that have vibrato after a few lessons but other take much, much longer. Allowing vibrato happens is a balance in the vocal mechanism. I hope the video on vibrato was helpful. For me, vibrato shows up first in the lower range where the vocal folds are longer and potentially more slack. I feel the breath moving through the instrument and my ribs are free to move, belly is free to move, neck, jaw, head and tongue are all free to move. My throat feel relaxed. For me, Ahhhh and uuuuu vowels lets vibrato happen easier than other vowel. It feel like to me a balance between energy and relaxation. Don't give up!

@@rejoiceinyourvoice-tricial3731 thanks so much for helping me I also have a question that when I inhale the breath I feel little resistance in my belly after inhaling . Is it right for support and my second question is about inhaling the voice in Bel canto technique ? We assumed to inhale while singing or before singing as I heard that u have to inhale the breath because it is willed action.please clear my misconstrued thinking about this . Again thanks so much for helping us luv u 🥰
