- Jhelum is a story of loss.
It is a story of a boy who is in search of something that would give him and his mother the necessary closure. Hope has been tiring them. They want it to stop.
The boy sets out on a journey with his friend and seeks God’s help while doing that.
The closure is painful as his hope dies and despair takes over. It is excruciating.
Jhelum is the story of every Kashmiri.

@@savage9596 depends on ur definition of suffering ..as of now things are quite as there has always been after the major uprisings be it 2016 or 2010 ....so we can say situation is better ..that doesnt mean we forget past ...and not to miss that still thousands are in jails ...hundreds are missing since decades ....thousands of families are still waiting for justice which they dont even expect before day of judgement😪

Whenever I hear this line "bhul gaye hum vo saare ghum jin gamo ne hummei baha diya tha" I remember every Kashmiri police personnel, I remember the political leader who did us wrong, I remember how we're sending our kids to Indian funded posh schools, I remember how we're not teaching young kids about what happened to our ancestors, I remember... How we failed the martyrs of gaw kadal massacre, handwara massacre and what not, I remember how kashmir has been bleeding one way or the other and some of us continue to take benefits from a country who did us wrong just for some mere money.
