    Great review! I got to use this M18 fuel bandsaw once before in the field and I was impressed good stuff.

    I find that starting at back then going through rollers is easer when changing the blade. Also verify that the tires are rolling true before returning to service.....works for me. Another nice video, another informative tutorial. Thanks for your effort.

    very nice review on the capabilities of the m18 fuel bandsaw. Its nice to see the thing in action with thick gauge metal and pipes. I think ill be picking one up soon enough after seeing this.

      kirk570 Well thanks Kirk! I definitely try & show what tools can actually do.....so before people drop hundreds of dollars, they will know that it is going to perform :) I really like the M18 FUEL Bandsaw....its one of those tools that I never knew I needed until I had one. Also, you should check out a different video I made about the MK Morse 811 Band Saw Blades....there are a lot more clips of the M18 FUEL cutting through materials.

    I sure wish that I had a need for that thing. After watching the video, I was thinking of uses that could justify the purchase of one, but no matter what reasoning I used, I still couldn't come up with enough uses. But what the heck, the day is still young. Very impressive saw and great demo.

      Lol.....well, although these are not cheap by any means, I am sure if it's something that someone would use much at all (welder, pipe fitter, plumber, etc) then the expense would be minimal compared to the huge time savings with each job. I cannot believe how long the battery lasts with this! I assume because of it's relatively low RPMs, the battery doesnt drain very fast. Thanks for watching! :)

      Mike L. Matee I just found out this thing existed and I'm having the same feels, please tell me after three years you've found reasons to justify the purchase 😂

      G Y, I think what he was saying was he needed a decent size project around the house to justify the purchase, in order for his wife to buy in on it.

    Great video Daniel! That is a nice saw. Like I was telling TIA this makes me want to get it along with that porta band tabletop attachment for woodworking.

      Thanks! :) I've got one of the SWAG V4.0 tables also, and will be reviewing it soon....I am not sure if the portabands in general are ideal for detailed woodworking, since I havent seen any thin blades for them anywhere....I know on my Dad's full size vintage Craftsman band saw, it has very thin blades & can makes extremely detailed cuts. Something to look into for sure!

    Question for you.. How many cuts would you get out of a blade before having to change it out?
    I'd be working with square tubing, similar to the shot at 10:32..
    Thanks!

    Great Review...thanks for the hard work. How does this saw compare to the other Milwaukee bandsaws...width and depth of cut?

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      George Rahn I havent used the others much....I would say very comparable to the corded model (although the M18 is rated as being faster). The Milwaukee band saws have the largest opening/throat depth out of all the brands....they are 5"x5".

      Wow...awesome! I cut through some water-filled pipes with the M18 FUEL Sawzall in a review video, since they designed them to be very water resistant, but the bandsaw definitely gives a very smooth/clean/fast cut!

    Do you ever use any cutting oil?

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope.... you don't use cutting fluid with bandsaws, because it will cause the blade to slip off of the rubber wheels. They have relatively low rpms & as long as the piece you are cutting is secure and you don't force the cut (let the saw do the work), the blades last a very long time.

    What is it like on 4 inch cast iron pipe folks?

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not sure, I dont have any to cut or I would slice through some for you. I would say that it will cut faster than a corded model, and it will boil down the the blade you use. But cutting through steel was no problem whatsoever.
