ive been trying to learn cross plus 1 for about a year, and i can only do it if i focus really hard and it takes like 15 minutes, and most of the time when i execute the cross theres an easier pair sitting right in front of me, how long did it take you to plan cross +1 and is there an easier way to learn
i started trying to plan first pair around reaching sub10, and then could consistently plan first pair reaching around sub8, but sometimes i stil dont plan first
im guessing that your cross solutions might be bad, causing you to not be able to find an easy first pair
@@kiwisolvescubes ok, i think my cross solutions are decent but i dont really even plan my cross properly half the time, which means tracking the first pair is hard
but its good to know that even sub 8 solvers dont always plan first pair, which makes me feel better lol
@@TedBonkers i think you should at least be able to plan cross entirely before trying cross+1, and once you do try doing cross+1 edge or corner and then have a general idea where the other piece is
the difference between speed is mostly reducing random moves that don't help and lookahead

@@VKCUBED i think the rs3v5 is better because the lockups are less severe than the tornado, but i also havent used my tornado in a long time due to losing an edge

Ive been stuck at 11 avrg in comp and 8-9 avrg at home
I learnt many things I dont think I have a problem w solutions
But after like 10 solves I cant concentrate and lookahead anymore.. Any tips for that?
ur comp issues might be due to nerves, since i get high7-low8 averages consistently in comp but avg low7 at home
the issues with concentration is just try to focus more? if ur having that much issues just drink water after every 10 solves or something, that's what i do when i can't focus or if you're cubing late at night then do it earlier

By the way, do you have any ways to improve general tps? I mean like I've been drilling algs since I started cubing 2 years ago, and still my fastest tps is 9.1
Does practicing for more years just improve it on its own?
@@projectflea9905 ur tps is probably low due to pauses since u dont need to turn hella fast to have high tps (look up benjamin zhao) because even if u can peak like 20tps jperms they dont do anything if the rest of ur solve is bad
wait howd you know ur stackmat is broken and you have to buy a new timer
i went ooga booga rage mode a couple too many times so half the times i stop the timer turns off/resets and the backlight is dim
it still technically works but it's annoying to deal with
