We have been at our current church about 5 years since we moved. Some of the people did seem welcoming. I got involved in several ministries because I felt led to, but even so it did not help with connections. They were grateful for my participation, but the only time I heard from anyone was to ask me to do more. While I didn’t participate to make friends, I cannot deny that I was craving connection, desiring friendship. I love the idea of a series on how to live on earth while being a heavenly citizen. I need practical…what does that look like in the everyday life of a wife and mom? I find myself getting so wrapped up and stressed about things in this life. I know if I had a more eternal mindset it would really help me but I’m just not sure what that looks like in real life. That’s how I need things explained to me, likeI was a child. I have been to different churches throughout the years and have never been happy with the teachings of the pastors. I felt they didn’t teach and didn’t bring the modern world in to any of their sermons. Also they seemed to focus on just a handful of books from the Bible. I didn’t get anything out of their sermons. The last church I attended was a small old country church and I thought I had finally found what I was looking for. They went through several pastors for various reasons and now have a fresh, young married pastor right out of the seminary. I haven’t been to this church for years because I believed in my heart that you don’t have to go to a physical building to believe in God. Now my husband and I attend this church which is also the church his parents attend, on Christ somas Eve. That was always my favorite service. This pastor has been there I guess it will be three years this Christmas. I’m sorry to say but I don’t like his way of teaching. The Christmas Eve service is short with only a couple songs. He now wants the congregation to read from the same Bible but I don’t know which one. There is a beautiful painting of Jesus and I believe the upper part of the body of two Angels. I was always drawn to this and would just stare at it. Well there is talk now of painting over this beautiful painting of Jesus as it might offend someone coming to this church. All because of the color he is painted. Even though I am not an active member. As they say; that is was the straw that broke the camels back. I don’t want to even go to the Christmas Eve service but I have to. I don’t like change and I love the Traditional service I grew up with. I miss the organ music and the hymns they no longer sing. Hi Heidi, thank you for this content. I've recently started watching your videos and don't comment much. But something I struggle with is talking to people. I've always been shy growing up. And I barely carry on conversations. I have been praying for this breakthrough but I still struggle. It's like I can't get passed the "Hi, how are you? How is your day? I'm good and you?" It is a struggle. I'm afraid to go up to people and just speak because I run out of words. I don't know if I'm even making any sense right now. I truly need prayer in this area. I am slowly growing close to God because I have felt his love although there are days I struggle with my faith. Blessings to you and your family.
Wow, you just described exactly what I'm going through. Shyness has been a huge weakness of mine since I was young, and feel like it's always a struggle to talk to people. I don't like being this way, because it makes me feel so guilty sometimes, and hopeless. God bless you dear sister, let's keep praying and seeking the Lord on this part 🙏
1 timothy 3:2 - 5 paul talking how bishops should be . I agree Heidi the church was built on good families good men with good wives who keep their house in order and of good morals.
Hello! My name is Sue Love. I am 73 years old, and I believed in Jesus at the age of 7, and I have taught the Scriptures for 50 years. I have been teaching the Scriptures full-time now for 19 years, although a lot of that was just sharing my quiet times I had with the Lord and what he was/is teaching me through his word each day. More recently the devotions have been more instructional in nature, but still what the Lord is teaching me as I study his word each day. Anyway, I have watched three of your videos now, and in one of them, can't recall which one, you talked about the importance of digging into the word of God and studying it for yourself, in context, and I absolutely agree with the importance of that. But you also spoke against what you called "replacement theology," as it has been coined, and you were for supporting the physical nation of Israel. So I just want to challenge you to study these Scriptures in their context, and to put them all together as a whole, for they must agree with one another, and then ask the Lord to teach you from his word what he says about the physical nation of Israel and who is Israel today, his chosen and holy nation. Thank you for listening. Sincerely, Sue Love [John 8:18-19,38-47; Romans 9:4-8; Romans 11:17-25; Galatians 3:16,26-29; Galatians 4:22-31; Ephesians 2:11-22; Ephesians 3:6; Hebrews 8:8-10; 1 Peter 2:9-10; 1 John 2:22]
Hello Sue, None of the verses you posted support the notion that the promises made to ethnic Israel are fulfilled or superseded by the Church. You’re ignoring countless other scriptures and prophecies given specifically to the nation of Israel. Supersessionism calls God a liar. I trust you’re humble enough to understand that it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been teaching, you still could be wrong and there’s always room for more study. I challenge you to study early church history (prior to 400AD) and you will see that the early church taught that the promises to Israel would be fulfilled. I also recommend a book by Michael Vlach called “Has the church replaced Israel”. Replacement theology is not Biblical and dangerous. Let’s be careful not to eisegete the text. Thank you for your comment. God bless.
@@BrandonGarcia-uk3si Nowhere did I say what I believed on this subject. I merely pointed out what I believe she had stated and I just encouraged her to study those noted Scriptures and to pray and ask the Lord to teach her from his word what he says on that subject. And I have spent many years and hours studying this subject, and I am confident in what I believe, which again, I did not state. For she indicated that she wanted to study the Scriptures in their context to learn what they teach. And I hope that she will look at those Scriptures and that she will let the Lord teach her what he wants her to learn from them. That's all.
@@Christsfreeservant But this is what you’re implying is it not? I also have studied this subject extensively and have seen these same arguments and scripture references over and over again. They are easily refuted and explained using proper hermeneutics and exegesis. Please don’t think I’m implying that I have it all figured out. None of us do. I am continually being shepherded by The Lord and a group of brilliant theologians. Always learning.
@@BrandonGarcia-uk3si The main thing that impressed me about Heidi (is that her name?) is her love for the Lord Jesus and her desire for truth, not man's truth, but God's truth, so much so that she has been throwing out much of man's truth and she is seeking to know God's truth from the reading of the Scriptures herself, studying them "in context." And that is how she is arriving at much of what she is sharing, because she is listening to the Holy Spirit and she is studying the Scriptures in their true context, and the result is that she is tossing out a lot of what she used to follow because it was of man and not of God. And I am in full agreement with much of what she has shared so far that I have listened to, for the Lord showed me many of the same things a long time ago. And because of that, the Lord Jesus led me to share those Scriptures with her and to ask that she read them, in context, like she has been doing with other subjects, and that she let the Holy Spirit speak truth to her heart. So my intention is not to tell her what I believe, but just to ask her to examine those Scriptures, in context, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, like she did with so many other subjects. And this has absolutely nothing to do with any kind of theology on my end, for theologians are not my God. God is. It is his word alone that speaks truth to my heart. I will use Greek and Hebrew interlinear to give me understanding of words, and I may occasionally read some commentaries, regardless of their theology, but they are not my God, either. The Scriptures in context under the leading of the Holy Spirit will always define biblical truth for me.
Thank you for your beautiful & inspiring words of wisdom. 🙏 I have been listening to your word of God everyday & it has lifted me up & helped me in so many ways. I would love to hear more about the heavenly message that you spoke about today and cultivating a lovely home.. How wonderful that sounds and to just put into action even more in our home than we already do on a daily basis with the Lord our God, would be extremely empowing. 🙏 Thank you again ❤ God's blessings to you & your family always.

Heavenly minded...just found your channel. Living out the faith doesn't translate to just sitting on a pew. It is lived out day in n day out outside of the building.
I am so thankful I found your TH-cam channel. I am struggling with reading my Bible daily, I don't know where to start. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
First, you need The Holy Spirit. Without The Holy Spirit you will Not understand what The Bible says. If you Feel The Voice of The Lord tugging on your Heart, Ask Forgiveness. When He Answers, You will be Washed by The Blood of The Lamb, You will be Baptized with The Holy Spirit, You Will be Changed ( 2Corinthians 5:17 ) You will Know, Impossible not to. Read The Bible daily, The Holy Spirit will Teach and Guide you as you Read. Tell others what Christ has done in your life and how You were Saved and how they can be. By doing these things you will become Stronger and draw closer to The Lord
@@bruce8961 I really appreciate your comments. Just today The Holy Spirit brought a scripture to my remembrance as I was praying & seeking for answers to a perplexing life issue. I am a baby believer so I am still learning to hear The Holy Spirit guide me. Please pray, if led, for my continued obedience to the LORD and wisdom & discernment. So much deception going on. God bless.
🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️I started reading the Bible more in the last week. I started in 1st Samuel and I just got to 1st Chronicles. Samuel and kings was a great read for history. I’m having a hard time sticking with chronicles because it just seems like a more detailed version of the last 4 books. I kind of want to skip but part of me knows I should suck it up and read it. Any help?
Thank you so much for your positive vlog. But I would like to question, is it really biblical to be a "heavenly" citizen? Or heavenly minded. The Bible tells us we are identified as the common wealth of Israel as our citizenship for God's Kingdom people. It understand it's a catch phrase you have developed based on your vlog but is that really biblical, especially for young believers? I do understand your intent is well meaning. I ask you just consider. Bless you!
The Bible insists that Christians be focused on heavenly things: “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18). When Christians have their eyes set on Christ, they gain an eternal perspective, and they are of great “earthly good” as their faith impacts their lives and the lives of others (Colossians 3:2; Hebrews 12:1-3). A citizen is a person who legally belongs to a country and has the rights and protection of that country. Citizens adopt the culture and practices of the nation or kingdom to which they belong. Every human being is born into the kingdom of this world, in which Satan rules (2 Corinthians 4:4). Consequently, we grow up adopting the culture, practices, and values that he instigates (Genesis 3:1; 1 John 2:16). Satan’s kingdom enslaves its citizens (Romans 6:16). With darkened hearts and minds, we blindly follow our leader into the very sins that pull us deeper into slavery. We remain captives in this kingdom of sin, headed for destruction, until Jesus frees us (Ephesians 2:1-4). Philippians 3:18-19 highlights the differences between those who desire fellowship with Jesus Christ and those who focus on earthly pursuits: “For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.” Those who do not know Christ live only for this world and the pleasure they can find for themselves. They are “citizens” of this world and live by its rules and value system. When we are born again by faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:3), we are born into the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 3:2; 7:21; Romans 14:17). Speaking of those who have had that spiritual rebirth, Philippians 3:20 says, “Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Jesus spent much of His earthly ministry explaining the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 4:17). He compared it to many things, including a wheat field in which weeds grew along with the wheat. The plants appeared identical at first, but were separated at the harvest. The truth is, often the citizens of heaven and those of this world appear identical, and no one but God knows the difference (Romans 8:19). Many people may appear to be citizens of heaven, when, in fact, no rebirth has ever taken place in their hearts (Matthew 7:21). When God grants us citizenship in the Kingdom of Heaven, we become “new creatures” (2 Corinthians 5:17). He sends His Holy Spirit to indwell our spirits, and our bodies become His temple (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20). The Holy Spirit begins to transform our sinful, worldly desires into those that glorify God (Romans 12:1-2). His goal is to make us as much like Jesus as possible in this life (Romans 8:29). We are given the power and privilege of exiting the world’s flawed value system and living for eternity (1 John 2:15-17). To be adopted into the family of God means that we become citizens of an eternal kingdom where our Father is the King. Our focus turns toward eternal things and storing up treasure in heaven (Matthew 6:19-20). We consider ourselves ambassadors to this earth until our Father sends for us and we go home (Ephesians 2:18-19; 6:20). We live for a short time in these physical bodies, anticipating the bright future in our real home. While here, we share Abraham’s experience, living “like a stranger in a foreign country. . . looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God” (Hebrews 11:9-10).
We have been at our current church about 5 years since we moved. Some of the people did seem welcoming. I got involved in several ministries because I felt led to, but even so it did not help with connections. They were grateful for my participation, but the only time I heard from anyone was to ask me to do more.
God bless.
Hi Heidi, I would like to know how to dig in and study scripture in general.
😊❤
🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️I started reading the Bible more in the last week. I started in 1st Samuel and I just got to 1st Chronicles. Samuel and kings was a great read for history. I’m having a hard time sticking with chronicles because it just seems like a more detailed version of the last 4 books. I kind of want to skip but part of me knows I should suck it up and read it. Any help?
I’m struggling with how to grow daily in the word :/

There’s no sound.
I’m so sorry- seems to be working for others. Hopefully it’ll pop up for you! 🙏🏼
I struggle to get my Bible time in each and every day and it’s eating me up inside. 🥲
Big hugs, friend! Looking forward to sharing on this and hopefully being a help! XO
