- The Houston Police Department has released the body-camera video of an officer-involved shooting at 9475 W Sam Houston Pkwy South Service Road on May 22. The shooting occurred after officers attempted to seize a vehicle involved in a brief pursuit days before.

Child endangerment charges hopefully are #1 on the list. It's bad enough what he did towards the officers but unbelievable any man would put a child in the position this pathetic excuse for a human being did to that child with no though of their wellbeing physically or emotionally. What a POS and I hope his fellow inmates see this and educate him about his disgusting actions hopefully preventing the possibility of such disgusting behavior reoccurring.
Did we watch the same video ? All I saw was police pull up harassing another black man , with no proof they just walked up and said they are seizing the vehicle , he went to get his things out the car and was attacked by a police officer which he then pushes to the ground and the cop tried to shoot him on the way down & they shot at him while he was running , so if anything your precious cops put the child in that position

Cops are taught not to worry about crossfire, and even encouraged to hit innocent people as they can charge the person they are shooting at for murder.
That is why you see them choosing minivans with families to hide behind. And the the suspect doesn't keep trying to shoot (to not hit the innocent family), they will shoot through the car "for cover" and charge the suspect with all the murders done by police for the sake of officer safety.
US cops are the only cops who will also shoot hostages on purpose to remove possibility of negotiation.

The guy wasn’t the one recklessly discharging firearms in the parking lot,endangering the life of the child and anyone who may have been in the apartment building next to the parking lot or anywhere in between.
How are you going to do something like that in front of your child and then just leave them while you run? That has to be traumatic for her. Thank you to the officer whos first action was making sure she got out of harms way.
Yeah, good job to the plain clothes officer who went to the child to make sure she was out if harms way in case any more if his fellow officers decided to go recklessly discharging their firearms like the others did. Sure looked you me like the cops rolled up on a guy and basically said “we think you may have done something so we are going to steal your car…so get your stuff out of it” but he didn’t understand that they intended to search the car and dig thru all his personal items at some point before he was supposed to remove everything. So he just started getting all his stuff out…at which point a cop started screaming at him, and another grabbed him from behind then tried to kill him. Yeah it’s messed up that he left the kid, but I don’t know that anyone can blame him for running for his life at that point.

I am an honorably-retired police officer with a successful law enforcement career spanning 30 years.
Many have falsely accused me of being "racist", simply because they don't like what I say. But I truly believe that all men were created equal.
I have worked with amazing officers of all races. But I have also experienced the tragedies of diversity hiring- I have had to work with people who were hired solely because of their gender, apparent race, and/or sexual preferences, even though they were substandard applicants.
And it is PAINFULLY obvious, that lowering law enforcement hiring standards in the pursuit of diversity goals results in MORE dead minorities, not less.

There was a shot fired by the sergeant as he was pushed to the ground by the suspect. The suspect was later charged with a felon in possession of a firearm.

I want to see the camera showing the police being grabbed as he said. I didn’t see him with a gun. I don’t blame the guy for running after all do you know how much black guys get shot and killed by cops every day. I moved to the Spring Branch area of Houston from 1981 until 1987 . One of my favorite neighbors was an HPD officer . Anothers father worked for the DEA .
They had a thankless job back then . Can't imagine what it's like now .

The only thing I find hard about viewing these are the low voices and the amplification of other sounds. And seeing arms over the camera so we can’t see. The most irritating thing is watching a video that has blurred parts. If people are looking for this kind of video great blurr away but some of us actually want to see the un cut video.

This car was involved in a pursuit, the cops traced it back to the owner at this address, they then performed this stop to seize the vehicle and noted that the tags had been illegally changed.
