PANAM es la abreviación de PRODUCTO AUTÉNTICO NACIONAL MEXICANO, y fue el calzado característico de los centros escolares mexicanos en los ochenta, adoptándose éste como el calzado deportivo oficial, el tenis que los niños usaban en su clase de educación física.
