- Round 2 of Tarlton International Raceway's closed Club Event saw an impressive line up of cars going headsup against each other in a bracket racing eliminations competition, with drivers & riders competing in 4 separate classes. The day consisted of many new PB's & Records from drivers across the field, proving one thing, South African Drag Racing NEEDS Tarlton Raceway to return to full operational capacity!

Unfortunately I don’t organize events. I film & cover events. But I am sure they have their reasons

Interesting that the event in closed . I guess consumers are not willing to drive out there. No enough hype or proper marketing done to ensure traffic
@@CCDVIDEO Thanks for the great content. I heard that they require at least 80 contestants to open the event to the public. Something like that. It's a pity though. That means they need racers to make opening the gates worth while.
@@Saabmonster yes they need 80 entries to open gates to spectators. Let’s see what happens. This is a 3 way party between organizers, racers & spectators. But what I do know is that majority of those who keeps on complaining about closed events won’t spectate when they get the opportunity anyway. People be like that

There’s street to strip at tarlton you can spectate, there are a BUNCH of tracks cross South Africa having events every other week, yet if one track does 4 closed events a year, everyone loses their minds…. There’s a ton of events to spectate with brilliant racing action, let tarlton sort their issues in their own time

Why does front wheel drive cars drive with Wheelie Bars? Doesnt make sense
*traction bar for a fwd. it keeps the rear from squatting. If the rear end squats, it lifts the front end and causes wheelspin since the weight is coming off the front wheels
What a waste how are guys to get sponsors if there is no one to advertise to. What a huge kick in the face of sponsors. That's why SA motorsport will never grow any bigger. Huge entry fees and no spectators. Now that's a shit business model. Doomed to fail.
There's a good reason. It's a private event. On private property. If they brought in spectators a certain governing body would swoop in and take all the money anyway. Glad Nico and Micheal are doing events again.
I’m sure they have their reasons for this. There are plenty other events at tracks like Midvaal, Midway and others across the country people can spectate still 😉

Oom Leon in that last run didn't break the record The record is 7.75 he ran 7.77 Very close though He'll break it soon
