This is awesome, thank you so much. I have already tried your shrimp and pasta dish, and my family loved it! Going to try the others now too, can't wait and have made my shopping list 😉
Here's an easy go to that my husband and I do, it's called chicken parmesan casserole. Basically, it has all the flavors of chicken parm but without the mess and is healthier. I dont really measure anything, I just kind of do it. But basically, brown up some chicken (usually add garlic and italian seasonings). Preheat the oven to 350/375. Pour the chicken into a casserole dish and add a jar of marinara sauce. Mix it around, add parm and mozzarella cheese and bread crumbs on top. Sometimes we add some ricotta or some zucchini to add some veggie to it. It's really filling and great if you try to eat lower carb. Sometimes we serve it with pasta or zucchini noodles. Most the time we just eat it as is. Sometimes with the leftovers we will use it to make sandwiches. Thanks for the ideas! Always struggling to figure out what to make for dinner.
Loved this! So realistic for a busy family! I do egg bakes and add whatever- chilis, cheese, corn or feta, olives, spinach, stir with eggs and bake 30 minutes. Also, "pulled" chicken sandwiches with leftover chicken and coleslaw from the deli. Roasted vegetables (I buy broccoli, cauliflower and carrots already chopped) are good- no prep and you can ignore them until the oven timer dings 😊
Love these types of videos! I love seeing what other families enjoy especially ones always on the go. I enjoy doing crock pot meals or one pot dishes but I agree, I find myself doing the same ones over and over again!
Yes, Marnie, please do more of these types of videos!! I like the idea you have on the bowls. Your nacho's also looked great and would be perfect for our household too! Your meatloaf is very similar to mine, never tried ground chicken though, I bet that's good with the BBQ sauce. Thanks so much, please do more!!
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you listing your makeup for us. I know that’s a lot of work and effort. As soon as the video started I was thinking I HAD to know what lipstick you were wearing and you didn’t let me down! Great video Marnie. 👍🏻
I love this side of your channel. At the end of the day most of us are just trying to take care of our families and squeeze sometime in for ourselves. (and you do momma so fashionably!) ❤️
Yes! More cooking videos please! It is always a struggle coming up with new ideas for dinner that will please everyone! One of my fam favs is Caprese Chicken-Chicken breast, fresh mozzarella (or sub) basil, tomato and a balsamic glaze. Served with whatever side you want. It is awesome!
You are one of my favorite TH-cam Vloggers. I found you a few months ago, think you have amazing style, love how down-to-earth you are and enjoy how you share practical tips. I am 43 and have struggled to relate to most of the vloggers that are in their twenties...you are a breath of fresh air....plus you are gorgeous and fair skinned like myself...love! :) Keep on sharing..love your content.
Really liked this very normal every day recipe video. I get most of my recipes off Pinterest these days and I'm liking the ones where you pile the veggies and the chicken or fish and season with olive oil, salt and pepper in parchment paper and then close up the paper to make parcels and then bake in the oven. I did one of these a few months back with asparagus and salmon with lemon for a dinner party of 7 and it turned out beautifully.
I love the see what others are making for dinner. We will usually have pasta and meatballs once a week for dinner. Also, baked chicken with baked potatoe and a salad is a nice meal too.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! So refreshing to see real people food that doesn't require 500 fancy ingredients & 2 hours to prepare👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 This is how I cook- simple, quick & kid friendly. Love these ideas.
Hi, Marnie!!! Looooove all of your cooking episodes and this just has to be one if the best videos ever!!! Love all of your tips for quick cooking!!! Thank you!!! Please make share more of your go to quick recipes!!!! So awesome!!
Love love love!!!! Thanks for doing this video...my oldest has crohns so it's difficult to think of meals. You have me inspired and these are really practical meals for a busy family. Thanks marnie!!!!
I really enjoyed this video. It's always nice to see what other people make for dinner to get ideas. I love breakfast for dinner! My husband's not a fan so I only get to do it when he's out of town. Anyway, loved the video.
Ooooo, yummy food!!! I love how simple and delicious-looking these recipes are, Marnie! I’m gluten-free, so I’m really interested in the products you used. That bread looks delicious! I wish I could get it. I’m going to have to rewatch the video to find the name of it. Perhaps it’s available on Amazon. I’m definitely going to try the Ronzoni pasta! Thank you so much for this video! I’m sure it helped a lot of people. Have a great weekend!!
Buy glass containers. It’s not good to microwave in plastic. You can get glass containers at Tjmaxx or Homegood and Marhalls. Even Target. They are cheap. The plastic leaches into the food.
I love this video! Like you I get stuck and make the same few dishes over and over. I need the gluten free also so thank you for showing your gluten free options. I love all your videos Marnie, whether beauty, fashion, vlogging and now this. You do a beautiful job on them all. P.S. My husband asked me what I was watching and I showed him your video and he said " she's really pretty!" Thought I would share that because it's always nice to get a compliment.
Yes Marnie, always good to get new ideas. I've just gotten an Instant Pot and experimenting with all kinds of new recipes. TH-cam Is full of new combos. Once you get the procedure down, it is time saving and easy clean up.
Is the plastic container microwaveable? This may be a dumb question but I’m always telling my daughter not to microwave the plastic container. Let me know if this is a special container cause I may need to buy this. Thanks Marne!
We don't have gluten issues in our home but I love how you showed how simple it was to take common very "popular" meals and change to gluten free option. I'm sure Shane especially appreciates it so he doesn't miss out on some favs.
Thank's Marnie~Fantastic recipes and love how easy to make __ just bought some shrimp on sale and you just gave me the perfect little recipe -- bless you heart beautiful!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing this! I get into a rut myself and new recipes that are easy and simple. I can cook, it's has not been my favorite thing to do lately, but, I'm learning to like it again with new recipes. I appreciate it that you put the recipes on your blog. I had paper and pen in hand ready and when you said blog, I was yeah, I can print them. My daughter's biopsies from her endoscopy came back positive for Celiac Disease. We have been doing Gluten free, but that really sunk in with her now. It's amazing the things we use that have gluten and I didn't know. Ex. I use lipton onion soup mix for meatloaf, it has gluten! who would have thunk it? So I needed a new recipe for meatloaf. I couldn't imagine adding no dairy on top of that. You seem to have managed that too. Thank you again for doing this and yes to doing more. I really appreciate it.
+Susan Wright We’re not Paleo anymore. When Shane was, he could only eat fruit, veggies, meat and nuts. Yikes! The faux cheeses are good enough when cooked. But they’re never going to be as good as real cheese!
Thanks for taking the time and effort to compile this video! When your husband gives the thumbs up - so sweet.😊 My poor husband hasn't gotten yummy meals like this since June when I started bright line eating. But he is supportive of me, so yay for that 😃🤗 My dinners are 12 oz of vegetable, 4 oz of protein and a serving of fat. Mixing categories gets tricky with the math🤔🙃 I'm going to try it with soups this fall and winter though. Love me a good hearty soup!
Great vlog! 👍 I cook twice a day for my family, now days you just don’t see families sit down to a homemade meal, I’m glad to see another wife/Mom cooking meals for their families. More vlog meals please. 😊😊😊
Salsa chicken! Chicken in a crockpot with a jar of salsa and a taco seasoning packet. Six hours on low and then shred it. Put in tortillas or over rice. So easy and delicious. A weekly staple in my house.
Thanks for sharing these ideas and I like the video clip inserts. I've become a fan of the frozen veggies for overall convenience. I'll even just eat a steam bag of edamame when I'm not up to prepping a meal! There are 2 of us with opposing schedules, so anytime I can whip up a meal, and store leftovers and lunches that is a win win. Sometimes on Sundays I'll roast 2 cookie sheets of veggies for the week. I haven't tried the nachos, but prepping ground beef appears to be super flexible for nachos, tacos and possibly quesadillas? There's nothing wrong with a bowl of cereal for dinner 😉. Thanks for sharing, Marnie. Have a great weekend!
Thank you Marnie I really appreciate this so much I have some new ideas for dinner for the family to try it's way time to try some new foods.thank you again so much
Yum! Try turning your Greek yogurt into a lime crema by squeezing fresh lime into it and adding a splash of apple cider vinegar and dash of salt. It will upgrade your sour cream substitute game. It’s so good!!
Loved loved it!!! Great normal family meals! I’d love garlic cubes. Here in Australia we have crushed garlic in jars only. Really liked the Mexican food never thought of eggs and chillies and corn chips.
Great ideas! My grocery store has frozen diced onion, pepper, celery, mixed together. .......such a time saver. I'm going to look for the frozen cubes of garlic. The freezer section is a busy cooks best friend.
Hi Marnie! Great video on easy meals! Thank you! I still make one you shared a while ago...the salsa chicken in the oven. So easy, but my son loves it! Please do more! 🙂🌸Joanie
Loves the video. With a 16 year old daughter and her schedule, I'm always looking for easy meals. Going to try out some of your ideas👍🏻 Thanks for sharing...would love to see more.😊
I love this!! Thank you so much for doing this kind of video. I think I had commented asking if you would do this type of video before I came across this one. Please make more like this. It was great.
Love this style video! Great tips! You need to try Banza pasta it’s made from chickpeas and it tastes amazing and they do have different styles like penne, macaroni etc
Loved this vid...Thank you. .I am a strict veggie so not a lot that I would try, but still I enjoyed watching you cook. It seems to be a pastime high on the British relax-time agenda these days !!!!
Great video!!!! I often hide veggies in my meatloaf - usually put carrots and whatever other veggie I want into food processor and then add to the meatloaf mix. Have to do that in order for my kid to eat veggies!
Crockpots are your best friend. Make stews, chili, bolognese, soups etc. When done, keep it on warm till you get home. I too love breakfast for dinner, french toast, pancakes, all with fresh fruit. Bagels and eggs. Large bowl of cereal again with blueberries, raspberries, bananas on top.
I love The Domestic Geek channel for recipes :-) I recently did stuffed pasta shells and it was yummy. She has a lot of great recipes that you can modify to be gluten free so your kid can eat, too :-) xx
We eat a lot of homemade soups for dinner during fall/winter months. Cabbage, carrots, potatoes, beans, stew meat and beef stock. Delicious and gets better the longer it’s in fridge, but only lasts about a week. You can always freeze leftovers. Chili is a good (lasts a week) meal to eat by itself or add to other dishes like hamburger patty or whatever. And I love roast in the crockpot! I love meals that last! Mmmmmm lasagna is a favorite and spaghetti too! Oh and stir fried chicken, a million ways to make stir fried chicken, adding lots of different goodies! And pork chops with mashed potatoes, we use our outdoor grill year round, great for marinated meats! My hubby and I grew up with Southerners, can you tell? 😁 LOL! Have a nice weekend!👍😘👍
I love the rotisserie chickens, ready to go in store. Rarely do we just eat the chicken that way, I use the meat in quick fix dishes. Soups, chicken salads, etc. Thanks for sharing your ideas
I need those frozen garlic cubes in my life . I love your lunch recipes and will try them for my teens this week . Thanks for this video I think we all appreciate new ideas . Google Korean ground beef rice bowl , the recipe critic is the one we used . My son found the recipe because he had to plan and cook as an assignment . Quick and really good
Goulash is a hit at our house- I use ground meat, chili powder, garlic, dried onion flakes, macaroni noodles and V8 juice. Thanks for the great video!!
Hey Marni! I have Crohns disease which is similar to Shane's condition. Would you be able to tell me more about his diet? It seems to be helping him and I would love to know what you guys have been doing!
It's pretty simple now-just no gluten and no dairy (unless it's Greek yogurt, but VERY sparingly). I would recommend talking to your doctor first though-even though they are very similar, sometimes the treatment plans can be different. My mom has Crohn's so I grew up being around it my whole life!
Thanks so much for getting back to me! I have been battling my Crohns disease for 15 years and have been on multiple medications and treatments. I will try going GF and dairy free to see if I see improvement! THANKS!
I got your meatloaf recipe in my email today...can't wait to try it. The shrimp scampi dish is similar to something that I make at least once a week, or that my daughter makes. We are currently on the journey to vegetarianism and are always looking for new recipes that we can make as is or that we can transform. Go Veggie and Daiya are always in the fridge.
