I always like the atmosphere of live concerts. Very impressed by the Spalla, which sounded totally logical in this small string quartet setting, with all the virtuosic high notes Boccherini liked to write and play. Always love your musical energy, mr Malov. But I very much missed the name of the impressive ensemble, both in the video and the notes. With some searching I found out they are the local Kordo Kvartettinn, obviously with an added double bass player. It must have been a lovely concert, and I am looking forward to the registration of the other works played that evening. PS: and I noticed that you had a new Violoncello da Spalla built, after your earlier Badiarov Spalla. Great to se that more instrument makers start to believe in this niche member of the violin family and/or more musicians are ordering this magnificent instrument. I have friends who are professional cellists and viola players and dream of trying out one themselves. And I could include myself, as an amateur violist with a great love for the history of music instruments.
Cool! I love this, beautiful concert!
