Robert is Jack's actual son so don't get why Jack always put Andy first he let robert go on the run yet he didn't tell Andy to leave for killing robert and Victorias mum.
Andy take responsibility for the things he's done. He admits when he's done wrong, and try to do better. Robert lie and lie and lie, continue lying. He try to shift the blame and deliberately try to sabotaging his own family and their relationships. And continues lying about it. THAT IS WHY Jack favors Andy in front of Rob.

@@blakeseven5305 Maybe Jack comes across as preferring Andy because they bonded better having better mutual interests etc. I think it maybe tears- Jack, Victoria and Diane staying mutual between them. I think Robert and Andy both bad each other in their one up Manship between each other. Andy probably more agreeable most time. while Robert seemed go out his way to wind people up and indifferent to hurting people. I think Andy maybe bonded better with the family more than Robert as he seemed want to get away everything to family built up e.g farming etc so maybe he drifted away. But Robert is Jack's flesh and blood so probably tears them family apart in having to choose between them. I think Robert only got pushed out maybe, after going after Katie, threatening Victoria, cheating on Katie after wreaking Andy's marriage, Jack only told him to get lost really after he caused Max's death trying to kill Andy, which was down to him once again trying hurt Andy by seducing Debbie just so he can take Sarah, People talk as if Jack just wope his hands of Robert but he caused a lot of trouble with Katie and then broke Katie heart, he then also betrayed the family with The Kings, I can get why Robert is resentful, he feels Andy gets excused and is favoured but Andy actions mostly unintentional and he seems forget Jack disowned Andy when he shot Jack trying kill Robert and told him he was never his son. which got to be really cutting for Andy. I think difference is Robert goes out his way to hurt people and cause trouble out of spite, when most time Andy seems have good intentions. Even after all the trouble Robert caused, I think it actually upset Jack deeply, having to send him away but probably knew Robert become consumed with hurting Andy, but he told Robert he didn't hate him.
@@blakeseven5305 Why wouldn't he give Andy up even when his actions caused Robert a lot of psychological damage, why did he send robert away to grieve alone. when andy one killed sarah? It very rare he put Robert above Andy and was always fawning over robert while treating robert like a disappointment and it come across he go to great lengths for andy compared to robert. people forget the whole fued stems from andy killing sarah and replacing robert in the family, in the end chooses andy to stay and robert to leave. think says it all. when andy should been sent away a long time before robert was. is any wonder robert believed jack favoured and loved andy the most.

Did you just watch this part on youtube because you seem to have missed the part previously when Robert was packing hastily and said quote to Max , I HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE TODAY and then asked Debbie ( and Sara) to leave with him. He had a bag full of stollen money from the Kings in his boot- how is that not leaving? And do you seriously think Jack would have been able to protect Robert from the Kings after he betrayed them, stole their money, snitched on them and if they'd had known he killed Max as well he would be a dead man walking, he was better off out of there. Blah blah blah people bleat on about this pity party for Robert must be new youtube viewers because Robert back then shouldn't be a character you liked and when he came back from Spain showed pity to noone.

@@blakeseven5305 the last robert was too panto. he was ok and good attempt at capturing Robert but Karl i feel WAS Robert. maybe cause he was robert when jack was alive and his feud with andy began and the whole triangle with katie etc.

Jack saying they weren't fit to mix with decent people was a bit funny. Did Tom cause max death by making him do something he didn't want for money then Carl hated him as he said he was lazy and he always fought with them. Jack sometimes seemed to prefer Andy but he disowned Andy for shooting him then Robert for what he did to Andy. He loved all his kids, even daz. You can see Robert desperately wanted his dad's approval and was looking for it. He wasn't all bad
