We Backpacked One of the DARKEST PLACES ON EARTH! | Massacre Rim Nevada

I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it again, not every backpacking trip goes as planned. Our trip to Massacre Rim in Northern Nevada was no exception. Massacre Rim is a Dark Sky Sanctuary, one of the darkest places on Earth! Ideally, one would visit when there is no moon. The trip was planned around my 51st birthday, and the moon was nearly full. Regardless, we backpacked a nearly fifteen mile loop, exploring this massive landscape and had a wonderful adventure.
