    Thank you! I watched two other videos that showed four holes that were used to release four pins for air bag removal, which is what my Haynes and Chiltons show. Glad I found your video for the correct info. Liked and subscribed.

    Great video! Other videos say you should disconnect the battery when disconnecting airbags. You are the first video to show by removing the airbag fuse it will not deploy the airbag correct? Just trying to figure out which way is safer. Still great detailed video!

    So when I take my airbag out and off the horn or plastic cover I can put the plastic cover back without the airbag? The 4x4 I drive does not have a working clockspring nor do they make them anymore hence the reason to lose what will not work on my4x4.

    • @dudewecanfixit
      @dudewecanfixit 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @brucewmclaughlin9072
      @brucewmclaughlin9072 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dudewecanfixit Well if you can not use the air bag anymore because the part that makes it work is no longer in production I figured one of these days to get a different steering wheel and the airbag removed before.

      @@dudewecanfixit yes then replace the plastic cover till such time as I get another steering wheel. Rather not have a pit in the middle of the steering wheel with airbag and plastic missing ,just for aesthetic reasons.

    • @dudewecanfixit

      I still don't understand why you are concerned with removing it. Even if it doesn't work, it's not big, heavy, or visible.
      That being said, I don't see why you couldn't remove it and install the plastic cover without it in place. Might even make for an interesting storage compartment
